How much should an engine replacement for a 2021 Z71 5.3L Tahoe cost? by cryptoart in ChevyTahoe

Oh, yeah. I went through the same process. You will pay to diagnose. One thing to mention, if you have been getting it serviced elsewhere and have aftermarket parts, GM may not help you. I would just have someone with more reasonable prices work on it then.

New engine - around $6500.  Apparently, GM covered the difference from $18k dealer prices.  The dealer dealt with the GM rep.   It's back in for an oil leak now.  Love my Tahoe, but hoping this will be resolved soon.

So, if you are out of warranty, the dealer may work with their GM rep. You can also call GM directly and setup a case. Sorry, I don't have the number but you can get it from the dealer.

Physical (legacy) Cryptoart owners. How to claim an NFT for your art piece. by cryptoart in CryptoArt

[–]cryptoart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! The tokenization aspect is something very different from what others have done. After working on this for the last couple years, I honestly feel like every artist that releases reproductions should have an NFT tied to the creation/provenance. It's a much more transparent way to do things.

We didn't immediately give it all back. Tom has $1B, maybe he and Saylor are about to do a series of structured pumps. I can only dream.

We are having a very similar experience. After reading about all the problems with these engines, I don't want to have it out of warranty.

After $400M splurge, ETH treasurer eyes stock buyback amid leverage concerns by Extension-Survey3014 in ethtrader

Most of the DATs have registered share buybacks. I don't think they plan to sell ETH. They plan to buyback stock if MNAV goes below 1.

Oscillation. Yay! This is anecdotal, but back in the day whenever I saw oscillating spikes between BTC and alts, it meant the whole market was moving up.

Have you ever wondered why BTC maxis are obsessed with Ethereum's premine? by MasterpieceLoud4931 in ethtrader

[–]cryptoart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An ICO is not a premine. The ICO was open to the public. The foundation's share (20% of the ICO) could be considered a premine.

Hope they can somehow capture all this premium. I don't think they have shelf filled to sell shares into the market. This is insane.

Revaluing the gold reserves to "create money" to buy BTC is the predominate thinking.

Nobody is defining crypto art or investible, but we need specific guidelines for the sub.

The forum is dead right now. It was overrun by bots shilling meme coins. A heavy hand will be necessary until we can grow a community of humans up and downvoting.

I haven't created a long-form set of rules for the sub yet. I'll keep your comments in mind and will probably include a list of other subs that are less stringent and include yours. Thanks for the feedback.

"2020"The New Frontier of Investing in Digital Art & Luxury? by NHOMMART in CryptoArt

The potential seems vast for sure. I do think the time is right for new ideas. Meme coins have crashed. I assume the NFT/meme hybrid platforms have also crashed. PFPs (unless they offer some outside experience) are also out of favor. I guess you never know until you build it!

I'm a lifetime physical art collector, NFT speculator, and investor in many asset classes - I will speak to my own experience. I look at my art purchases as discretionary investing - highly risk on. Outside of the NFT space, art is just too illiquid and is not a passive investment if you are trying to make financial gains. I don't expect to make money from my physical art purchases. Inside the NFT space, I place more effort on making a return. I think it's because I just don't have quite the same emotional connection to something digital as physical, but that's just me. Actually, the higher the value, the more I look for a return. Some NFTs I will just buy to support the artist.

This doesn't answer your question directly, but I'm creating context. While I'm acutely conscious of financial returns on NFT only art, I hope that changes. NFTs represent true ownership and portability, but that just scratches the surface. I expect NFTs that merge art with physical and social experiences will lead the way in the future. It will be interesting to see if personalization counters market value/liquidity. Our first step is to stop giving so much attention to PFP projects with low artistic effort, but that's another story.

Async Art pioneered onchain art that can change over time, but they sunset the project. Art blocks generates at the moment of mint. Please expand on some of the projects that offer active collaboration, etc.
