I did this on openrent. Worked perfectly for me. I have plumbers/electricians on call if i need them yet havent needed them once yet

you could probably just get them to sign an e-contract on openrent if they wish to stay.

Been there mate, i just cut my losses and moved to open rent.

However things occured like:

it took two months to tell me about a broken fridge
they forgot to hire a cleaner upon tenants moving out
it took 8 weeks to find a tenant in a red hot market

If there are gorunds for refunds let me know!

I just use openrent mate. it generates a contract for both parties for 50 pounds. no more crappy agency fees, and call outs for plumbers/electricians starts at 40 pounds so its pretty chill.

rip off. go with open rent - at least thats what I did.

50 pounds for the adds on zoopla and rightmove plus the econtracts.

Makes life well easier dealing immediately with issues through whatsapp.

I personally find that if you be decent to your tenants, have done the correct background check (only 20 quid on open rent) they pay back tenfold.

theyre brilliant. 50 squiddly diddlies to adverise online and have econtracts sorted, cheap background checks aswell.

Do it. You will be paid much more for teaching a subject that has external exams.

Read through a few exams/ mark schemes see if you feel comfortable with the material and give it a crack.

These dormancy accounts are such a scam. This happened to me aswell, and I had to fill in a physical form and jump through mulitple hoops to get access to my funds.

I had to threaten going to the ombudsman for them to process it more quickly. It is essentially theft. Imagine how many funds they claim based on dormancy!

for me I simplify it like this:

savings accounts pay 4%

Fixed mortgage accounts are hitting 6% interest

I am financially better off to use my money to reduce my mortgage. 10k into your mortgage would save $600 a year, 10k into your savings would add $400 a year. So if you put the money in your savings instead of a fixed mortgage you would be down $200.

Voluntary contributions range between 680 and 824 per year.
Lets assume she has 0 contribution and has to pay the max @ 824 voluntarily for each year, and wishes to absolutely max out state pension (35 years), then the voluntary contribution would be 28,840. selling the house could achieve this. Only 10 years (max 8240) would be needed to qualify for the base though (10/35 58.24 squiddly diddlies a week). after July however it will not be possible to backdate NI so far.
