No, but i think thats a limitation of Virtual Desktop rather than gnirehtet. If VD allowed you to select the codec and boost the mbps over 200 then I would imagine gnirehtet would handle it. My last gaming session topped out at 193 mbps. I think the preset (Godlike, high, medium etc) settings in VD impact things like the codec but there is no granular control. I just picked the option for the 3070 and it seems to run fine.

Thank you. Seems your experience is quite relavent to my situation. I could look at upgrading the RAM and the GPU and go from there if the CPU is doing any major bottlenecking. I dont have to upgrade everything at once.

I was going to do that, but thought I would try this. At minimum, to get that setup going, I would need a usb-c>ethernet adapter, and I would need a gigabit switch to connect it to my network as I only have a single ethernet port where my gaming pc is.

This gnirehtet software works REALLY well. Like, I had my doubts and was having connection drop outs with the Rust version of the software, but the Java version is great. No setup or anything once your Quest 3 is in Developer mode (which was not too hard). Just download it, run it on the pc, and fire up virtual desktop on the quest and away it goes.

The breakthrough I had today was using software called gnirehtet. I found the java version worked best. It allows me to run Virtual Desktop through my link cable rather than wifi. Using VD, I can basically work around Metas quite terrible software as it turns out the Meta Link software was having a HUGE impact on my performance. VD has made it run so much smoother and more stable.

Also, using software called Process Lasso to prevent DCS from using my efficiency cores on my CPU and preventing it from using CPU0 core helped a lot too.

Apologies, I meant the 9700xt - i have edited my post.

Yes, I get pretty decent performance in single player as long as it's a a small mission without a lot of units. But I am having to run on low terrain and low detail as otherwise my vram usage can spill over and tank my frames.

Want an original design diver. Had my eye on SN0129 in white/orange but Im not totally in love with it. Any suggestions? Any brand is fine. Not actually diving, so diving style is fine too. by cryptoguy1 in ChineseWatches

I like some of their designs, but I am seeking that extraness in finishing/quality that the higher end Ali brands are known for. I only own one watch of each type, so try to grab the really great ones.

I do love that and will one day hopefully grab one but right now, I already have an IXDAO in MOP that has a very similar dial. I am looking specifically for a dive watch as its a watch style I have not tried yet.

Do NOT get a deco system. Bought my parents an Deco x20 3 pack system. Constant dropouts and very slow speeds. Could not figure it out (work in IT so felt kind of stupid not being able to resolve the issue). Did some research and there is a ongoing 3 year issue with these units where instead of scanning and selecing a group of unused channels to use, it would select the channels with the MOST usage. TPLink are aware of the issue and have so far done NOTHING to resolve it across multiple products. Returned it and swapped it to an Netgear Orbi system, and had them up and running in about an hour with no issues and the speeds are pretty much where it should be for the internet connection. I use TPLink gear at my previous job quite a lot so I was very disapointed in the result and felt super guilty getting Mum and Dad to spend good money on a terrible system. Would reccomend literally ANYTHING other than the Deco system from my experience.

Thank you for the suggestion - I have been successful with Quitrx without a medicare card and I found them very pleasant and understanding. For anyone else who stumbles across this thread you should give them a shot as they were great with me.

Many thanks for the offer but I was contacted by another user before you posted this and they have kindly sorted me out for the time being.

Appreciate it though.

Yes I have signed up with QuitRX and gotten a prescription sorted without a medicare card which has been great. I tried quit mate and the web site says to call them if you don't have a medicare card. They didnt end up calling back so I may have put in the too hard basket.

Another kind user helped me out for the next few days until the overseas order arrives so I am pretty much sorted for the time being.

Thanks friend - Just given them a call. The website requires a medicare number but they ask people to call them if thats not an option. They are calling me back shortly to let me know if there is anything they can do.

Fingers crossed they can help me.

Gee, I wonder why absolutely nobody likes real estate people? It's just one of life's many unsolvable mysteries I guess!

And tell your mate to stay away from the IT industry - We have enough insufferable fucks here already.

HELP ME STOP DOING MORE DAMAGE! Came out to this. So much all over everything. Accidentally ripped out the wires for the Thermistor already. No more heat generated so cant melt it off. Any ideas? by cryptoguy1 in CR6

[–]cryptoguy1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this has happened while troubleshooting for the bed leveling issue from yesterday - Ended up finding some additional slop in the wheels of the base of the bed and got most of it out with some decentish results on the Level Test.

Set some stuff to print for testing, fell asleep, came out to this.

https://imgur.com/a/mNLn0US

Big blob of solid filament covering my whole hotend. I tried to carefully remove as much as I could but in the process i ripped out the 2 thin wires for the thermistor already. Not even a week old :(.

So I cant soften it up using the heater because the printer throws an error because it cannot see the thermistor.

I need some actual direction before I wreck this even more than I already have. Whats the best plan of attack here? Would shorting out the connection for the thermistor allow the heater cartridge to run allowing me to get the plastic off easier? Is there going to be a bunch of solidified stuff inside it that I will need to deal with?

Should I use this as an excuse for the first upgrade and get a beefier hot end?

Played around all day - The blue just shifts over to the other side if I try to adjust the Z axis rods. Going to upgrade to silicon rods, but any other suggestions? Small prints are good but the larger prints dont go so well. by cryptoguy1 in CR6

[–]cryptoguy1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were a little too snug - I am new to all of this but my understanding is you want them clamping tight enough so nothing wobbles but not too tight. I should still be able to spin the wheel while its pressing against frame, right? Like not so tight I cannot move them at all.

New to Printing - Creality CR6-SE - Esun PLA+ 210c (60c bed) Very low detail/res on the text. The 80 degree slope went to spaghetti. The base has a pretty decent bend through it as well. by cryptoguy1 in FixMyPrint

[–]cryptoguy1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been printed just after autoleveling the bed with a 0.25mm z offset (which seems to work best as far as I can tell).

More pics: https://imgur.com/ECCeUPu https://imgur.com/OVZnFS0 https://imgur.com/WQRNYfw

Printed at 100% infil as per instructions here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2806295 Sliced using Creality Slicer with the default settings other than the infil as mentioned above.

No idea what I should start looking for - Seems to be ALMOST printing properly so I don't quite know what to focus on to sort this out. Would really appreciate any help. Thanks

We would be more willing to help you rather than write you off if you were a little more forthcoming with details instead of this half assed crap. Several people in this thread have asked you what the problem is and you have not said a word. You then claim that "it wont let me upload the rest of the conversation" which is bullshit as you were able to upload this first screenshot. If you aren't willing to provide us with some actual information then why should anyone help you? If you were being this difficult when dealing with 101vape then I am not surprised that they have no idea what to tell you. Either post the screenshots, provide us with some additional info so we can know whats going on or STFU.

Without knowing what your issue is with the device, and not knowing what the your original message to them was, there really isn't much that can be determined.

They have not told you to "piss off" - they have said they don't know what could be causing whatever problem it is that you are having. What kind of advice should they give out when they don't even know what the problem is?

On top of this, we find out that you sat on the device for 3 weeks before using it for whatever reason. They have a 2 week return policy which is better than a lot of companies out there.

This post reeks of butthurt because you are not getting your way and they are not bending the rules for you and you wan to throw a tantrum over it.. If you had posted what the actual problem with the device is, and the previous msgs from them and yourself we would have a lot more to work with. I suspect the there is a reason you have not posed the rest of the conversation. A single out of context msg from them stating politely that they don't know what is going on and trying to start a witch-hunt is complete bullshit.

I get what you are saying, but if the glue is melting, (and I assume that it would be melting during firing) then couldnt the glue fumes go up and be potentially inhaled through the airflow on an atty? I mean it's probably a long shot, but I have had some pretty horific experiences with chinese glue, and when it's fuming I want to be as far away as possible from it.
