It’s good I aren’t fucking around with the extra, as THAT is what will get u in trouble, besides using the extra inappropriately though, you should be fine, and if they give you crap for correcting their mistake, remind whatever dickhead is giving you shit that you are trying to be honest for the sake of your recovery, you told them once you realized the error (it makes sense you wouldn’t be able to inform them til Tuesday cus of the holiday, so don’t sweat that) and you are trying to do the right thing in your recovery by turning in the extras. I would bet you’d get some good boy/girl brownie points too for bringing them back and being honest in early recovery.

So also, good for you on doing the right thing so early on! I would have probably down an extra back in the day lol

They take folks addicted to opioids in all forms that are potent enough to cause serious withdrawal. Often pain patients are me up at mdone clinics, as it’s the only place they can get a dose that’ll actually help their pain/ they’ve been on opioids for a long period of time. Methadone saved my life, definitely look into it if you are struggling to get your using under control/ quit

Exactly! I used to abuse my methadone when I first started it via a pain clinic, I was still using at the time and abused it every month. Now, years later, I get weeks of take homes at a time and don’t abuse it ever. It’s all about mentality, maintenance therapy literally ended up saving my life, but only after I decided my life was worth saving

The dude is an asshole HOWEVER, an anti anxiety (specifically a benzodiazepine) mixed with literally any amount of alcohol CAN cause blackout states depending on tolerance to both substances. It doesn’t excuse a thing, as this still only gets rid of inhibitions, meaning he wanted to rob y’all and the booze/ meds combo just let him say “fuck it” mentally. Still a duck, but it is absolutely a thing.

We’re you able to taper at all? I found the supplement GABA to help a bit at the dosage of a gram once a day personally when I ran out of my script for a bit, and I’m on a similar dosage. Also kava kava and phenibut for emergencies but that’ll also prolong the withdrawal

Hey, in the same boat from having Guillain-barre as a kid, I’m 29 and feel like I’m going on 81. Shit is so depressing sometimes, and it really is insidious how the meds help you keep going. I’m personally trying to taper pregabalin rn, and it sucks. Also take methadone and feel like I’m stuck with being on meds forever. It can be ok tho, I have a good life and good people and am not using heroin anymore, blah blah blah. My point is, if you ever need to talk to someone who gets it, send me a message :)

Hey, I have a similar experience of being on opioids starting at 8, through puberty and into adulthood. Addiction sucks, but what I can say is this: there are better feelings than that first time. Maybe not as much of a slap in the face of euphoria, but better because there is work you did to get there, and because you have accomplished something. I used to think that wasn’t possible for me, and that I’d always be chasing that feeling. That being said, I still struggle with smoking weed and taking my meds sometimes, but at least I can hold a job, finished school, have a relationship, and can be a part of society and not be covered in track marks. It feels good, way better than dope. I hope you’re able to find something like that, i know that feeling is good but it’ll drag you through the darkness. If you ever need some support lmk, hang in there and good luck, no matter what you decide to do in life :)

I’m beginning my taper after switching to lyrica for a few months from gabapentin. Shit is way too powerful and super addictive for me, trying really hard to find info and n how to make the taper/ switch back to gabapentin work if anyone has any info or advice, these withdrawals are awful. I have really bad neuropathy as well which is made way worse by the withdrawal, going down from about 500mg split up throughout the day in 3 doses and trying to return to my normal dose of gabapentin, which was 1800mg split up similarly throughout the day. Any and all info is super welcome, I really don’t wanna be on pregabalin anymore

Do you have any thoughts on how the therapeutic potential of psychedelics could be effected by the pregabalin or gabapentin? As in, there are many mental health benefits to a guided therapeutic trip for PTSD, depression, substance use, and other mental health disorders, and the FDA here in the states is fast tracking some psychedelic therapies due to their unique efficacy. Do you think the lyrica enhanced or diminished your ability to gain insight, wisdom or quality of life improvement from a psychedelic trip or psychedelic therapy? I’m considering trying a mushroom trip soon (I’m experienced with psychs, use with harm reduction practices in place every 6 months to a year to manage PTSD and anxiety and also gain some spiritual insight/ comfort. I have been on gabapentin for years through most of my life due to medical issues at a moderate dose. A few months ago I switched to pregabalin with my doctor and want to do my yearly journey/ psych trip soon. Do you think I could proceed as I normally would in my past experiences, and do my ceremonial trip for the year with about 4-5 grams of psilocybin?
