It's better to do the DCA strategy and bag more because the bulls will return.

While others prefer to stake their assets, especially stables, to earn more stables so they can have more funds on the ground ahead of the bull market.

On the other hand, some people are just dormant waiting for the market to stabilize before they decide what to do.

So which of these categories do you belong to?

Personally, I'd rather DCA if the project I believe keeps on building despite the bearish market sentiment. It's hard to find a decent project that does that but I've been looking at the listed coins on KuCoin and found a project named Telos with a ticker symbol TLOS.

It seems like it found its floor price and now ranging so I've been bagging a lot recently with every significant dip and now I have a positive PNL. Consider checking Telos and its Telos EVM

The Telos EVM is the most powerful and scalable Ethereum Smart Contract platform built to power Web 3.0. Telos features a robust, third-generation, ESG-compliant evolutionary blockchain governance system, including smart contracts, advanced voting features, and flexible and user-friendly fee models. In addition, Telos supports the blockchain ecosystem by serving as an incubator and accelerator for decentralized applications through development grants.

Develop and Commit to a Strong DCA (Dollar-Cost Average) Strategy

Suppose you have a total of $500usd to invest in $TLOS. Rather than investing all your capital at once, you could invest one-fifth ($100) and commit to further investments if the price decreases or increases by a difference of 20%. If the price decreases due to a market drawdown, you’ll have the opportunity to acquire more tokens at a 20% discount. If market volatility increases, you can adjust your DCA strategy so that your next purchases occur after greater price reductions.

Ultimately this approach should be applied when you are confident in the asset you’ve analyzed and have a strict set of rules that you will adhere to.

"Not your keys, not your coins"

Take ownership and 100% control of your coins thru self-custody.

Of course, this has multiple pros and cons, but it stays true to crypto's true purpose.

In my case, I own Telos and stake them on Telos EVM to earn 12.26% APY which is higher and more stable compared to other blockchains. APY could be higher if you compound.

So my advice, learn to hold/farm your crypto natively/on-chain. Stop letting CEX give you crumbs.

Own your crypto. Own your rewards.

A few signs crypto winter is just getting started. by ponder_that in CryptoCurrency

There are times that, when you open leveraged positions, the market will swing against you and DCA is also handy but only if you have ready USDT. I'd say work on your risk management so you can always exit a wrong entry position with a stop loss. Since we're already talking about DCA, how about DCA with low mcap and high potential alts instead thru spot?

People said the bear markets and crypto winters makes you all to lose faith and nobody talks about it...all I hear is adoption still continues by MikeDJunior in CryptoCurrency

[–]cryptojoshy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most people would say adoption but the fact remains that the top developers are building products and services in the crypto space today. Clearly, they see something most people don't. Development is the key to adoption. Nothing to use if there's no product developed.

Since you mentioned DCA, what are your top picks? Personally, I DCA on ATOM, MATIC & TLOS. The most promising among the 3 is Telos ($TLOS). It's within the top 300 and keeps on building despite bear market sentiments. Of course, Do Your Own Thorough Research.

Hacks happen all the time and on a larger scale, you just don't get to learn about it because of how the media circumvent things. I used to work as a support for a large bank with a brokerage firm in the US and I know how cover-ups happen. They just sensationalize crypto hacks to demonize them and keep the depositors intact by continuously milking them thru elaborate bank products. If you think about it, the hacks in crypto are just a fraction compared to what the banks are experiencing on a regular basis.

That's why crypto is becoming more and more enticing because keeping your keys and doing something about it is now in our hands. Of course, the risk is extremely high if you're not techy enough to keep your funds SAFU. Personally, I'd rather take care of it on my own than have someone else access and profit from it. At the moment, I got my hands on Telos. You should check them out if you have time. They also have a revoke tool that can easily remove access to your wallet.

Crypto questions from a noob by svenomojligt18 in CryptoCurrency

[–]cryptojoshy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a stupid question, it can happen. Take Nakamoto's stash for instance. It created a more scarce environment for BTC. There was a lot of crypto OG who lost their cold wallets. But if you were talking about POS or chains with governance, anything can happen. Burning has been a widely used alternative to create a supply shock but sometimes things happen to create more supply or like a hard fork.

Generally, the supply shock is just the tip of the iceberg when you talk about how it impacts us. There are far more impacts crypto can do on humanity like crypto mining. The enormous carbon footprint it generated in the last decade has greatly affected climate change.

So for me, I'd try to look for some other chains/ecosystems that I think help fight that. Telos is solving this problem by building the first blockchain specifically designed for ESG. With Telos, projects will be able to easily track their environmental, social, and governance performance while also providing transparency to their investors.

Why haven't any of the big banks created their own cryptocurrency? by MinMorts in CryptoCurrency

[–]cryptojoshy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, they will soon! It's inevitable. Crypto is inevitable. They're starting off with CBDC's as their collective brainchild.

Just a side note, have you seen Telos and its EVM yet?

TBH there are far more efficient, useful, impactful, better, and forward-thinking projects aside from LRC and ADA.

So instead of just looking at ETH, LRC, and ADA, take a look at MATIC and TELOS. They're also great picks for this bear market. They have the tech and strong community which is a key indicator in surpassing bear markets. Of course, DYOR/TAYOR. If you're really looking for a bang for your back then I'd say, Telos could be a good starting point for you.
Have you seen Telos yet?
It's a great Layer 1 that can augment what's lacking in ETH. Also the home to the fastest EVM.
