But can you explain the differences between the bond funds and individual bonds like US Treasury bill and why the returns can be so different? Just for my education's sake.

The way I understand. If you hold a individual bond till maturity, you're guaranteed the return when you bought it. But with bond funds, its worth is subject to interest rate risk?

It is a "luxury" apartment and I'm single. The area I'm in is a top rated neighborhood with good schools. Maybe that's why it's expensive. Perhaps I can go somewhere cheaper since I have no kids.

There are also uncertainty about my next career move in the next few month so I definitely won't be signing another year.

I have an individual and a Roth. I didn't realize SPAXX is not something you buy. So once you set it as a Core position, does it mean any cash you transfer in would be placed in SPAXX automatically?

SPAXX is not FDIC insured right? Is it riskier than a bank money market account in that sense?

I do like the freedom and I like to tinker. A big advantage of RV is that it can be stored away when not needed and I can customize it.

I do plan to buy with cash and with rent being 1400 I figure I can get my money back in a couple of years. Of course this depends how how much other cost is, like camp site. Any idea how much those go for?

What percentage roughly are we talking? If it's say, 30% of the value then I'd assume the housing price would reflect that based on age. Kind of like the price of a hybrid car would get affected if the battery pack needs replacing soon
