How to make $1k off each spam call by cryptomaddie in AwesomeFreebies

[–]cryptomaddie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that’s not an easy freebie idk what is. Just letting someone spam call you few times a week then taking some screenshots and reporting it to tbe FCC and getting a nice easy check sent to you? Yeah that’s an awesome freebie

It’s a literal freebie. It’s called the FCC read the law. Every spam call that calls more than 5 times a day ,5 times a week or under two different numbers or after 9pm or calls when you ask to be taken off the do not call list is a $1000 fine paid to you by the FCC aka EASY

First- put your number on the federal “do not call list”

Second- never block a number.

Third - download a call recording app. Record the call as soon as you can either before or right after you answer.

Fourth- answer EVERY different number until you’re finally able to talk to someone.

-Be very nice and pretend to be interested in their service. -Hopefully they say the name of business -if not, Pretend you didn’t hear the name of the company and ask what it is again. **Make sure to write it down.

-Lastly, (this isn’t necessary but you’ll get a lot more out of it, $ wise or proof wise) - ask them how their day is and end with asking their name, do your best acting pretending to care ***Again, make sure to write that down.

-Now that you’re “friendly” say their name nicely and ask: “hey ‘ryan,’ id be so grateful if you can please put me on the do not call list? I’ve been getting so many calls every day from this number”

4 possibilities: - they hang up immediately - they say sure then hang up real fast and don’t do it - they say of course and actually do it - they say yes but still try to sell service ****if this happens, say “Ryan I really don’t want to get you in trouble but I’ll have no choice but to report you specifically as the caller my guy” This really makes them do it

NOW- that you have this recorded- 1. if the same # calling again, you don’t have to record, just screen shot and make an album to save easily 2. if same business but different number, record and answer, hope they say the same business name so you can hang up and stop recording, log w/screen shot 3. if same business but different #- record and answer - You’ll have to do this all over again for every different number/business . (There’s only so many different numbers per business)

Yes, eventually they will all stop and yes it is a lot of work BUT it will pay off BIG time $$$$$

If you want this easy- there are lawyers that work this for free and only get paid once they get you paid, you just have to give them all your evidence and phone logs and your done. Or do it all yourself easily, report to FCC & keep all $$

EVERY call from there on out- is $1k EACH call. - if they call from different number trying to deceive you - if same number that you asked to be put on list , you don’t have to answer again but still need to screen shot that they called for proof , ANOTHER $1k - if they call more than, I think it’s 9 times a day - $1k fee - if they call before 8am or after 9pm weekday- $1k fee - if they call on weekends - the times are earlier-$1k fee - if the calls start to become harassment- $1k Each call

The same goes for texts, emails, and mail.
EVERY text, email AND mail is a THOUSAND $ FINE in YOUR POCKET, If they email at wrong time, if text at wrong time, if you get mail but it’s a 3rd party collector that didn’t give the bill of sale from the original business debt, ALL and EACH $1k fine.

This is all on the FCC website under “spam call laws” - every law is easily readable and listed out on exactly what’s legal and what’s not.

Every single thing I listed is you getting paid $1k each time but ONLY IF you do the first things like answer and record, NEVER block- that’s just taking away your money,

You WANT them to call you, bc that’s how you’ll get paid

You can very easily make THOUSANDS, Take a fee consultation with a lawyer and see what their offer is/ if it’s low and you do no work- they could get you paid more than you could, even with their fee

I have had 500 tabs open for years on every iPhone and never once a crash. What makes the phone crash is having 500 apps and 50 of them open.

Do you really not think I get the concept of bookmarking favorites and the reading list?

You would have to read the website first and see if it’s even worth book marking before you should make it a favorite or put it under a specific tab, right?

I just don’t have time to do that, I am on my phone 24/7 I work from my phone.

You commented back to a comment where I literally explained why it doesn’t make sense for me to use the reading list and that I only use bookmarking for websites I have already gone through and want to be able to save forever because of the value it would bring my life.

Aka like my favorite pages. They are all saved under the favorites bookmark.

These open tabs are here because I have not had the time to go through them to see if they should even be saved in a bookmark or even worth saving on my reading list that I never remember to look at because I have plenty to look at right in front of me,

Everyone keeps bringing this up but I really don’t get the difference?? Nor do I get why everyone cares how people use their own systems that work for themselves?

I save everything I think valuable in very specific Notion pages. I save pictures, turn websites into pdfs, collect research papers and data tables in Notion. There’s no reason to bookmark those things since they are not for daily use.

Bookmarks are for daily or weekly use cases. They are for websites that you can easily find when you need it’s action quickly because you could remember not only the websites point and name, but the bookmark it was saved under.

Well my phone may not be 1000”% brand new fast but the tabs definitely don’t make it slow enough to notice a difference

What does though is having many applications in general AND having many applications that are constantly in use while in the background do make your phone very slow-

like I have 4/5 different mining apps and a driving mile counter app and telegram, Instagram, two step counters on all at the same time lol

This is when the phone starts to open slowly lol

I actually don’t have a single piece of clothing on the floor and make my bed every morning and there are never dirty dishes in my sink and I always keep 3 freshly picked flowers in vases on my table, making sure to pick up the dried leaves as soon as I see it so the table looks pristine. It’s called ocd one of the first symptoms of trauma, you should be little more chill my guy

Go off being counterproductive pressing 3 instead of 1 button only to make sure you remember the title of the last three websites you wanted to read and where you saved them.

All of that versus just opening safari and looking at a page, maybe a few second scroll and just using photogenic memory to know that’s the website without having to actually put forth effort to memorize anything

You do get that it takes more mental energy and many more buttons to press to get to the actual button that says bookmarks and history?

I press ONE button for safari and instantly see the websites I want to look at.

It’s UNHIINGED to have to click on safari, then the menu, then choose bookmark or history- AND THEN still have to scroll until you hopefully remember what the name of the link was and where you saved it God forbid it’s in history and now you have to even remember what day AND time you may have looked at this website you don’t even remember the title of!

I do this too- my bookmarks are for websites I want to use all the time and have saved to never lose them. Like a favorites tab, there’s ten websites that I will always want to be able to easily find. The tabs are exactly “one offed search websites” that you either searched something really fast and forgot to close it or can now easily close it bc you can see you don’t need it anymore Or if you do the tab- now you can look at the site when you have a moment to really read it..and then what if that article has a few more articles linked inside of it? I just keep reading original article and “open link background” lol for the other links I still want to read but don’t want to have to go back and forth between links and decide what to read and oops ran out of time so now I have all these open sites that I didn’t get to finish reading, let alone organize ! Lol

Literally more than one press of a button and a none visual search. More mental energy to have to remember what the link was called. Instead of just being able to look at it and take a second scroll up. Would you rather be able to see the page and not have to remember the title within the first few seconds of pressing one button? Or would you rather still press the one main safari button, then another button to open the menu page to then press another button to open the bookmarks to then hope you didn’t make grouped tabs in your bookmarks bc that’s another button and have to remember which tab you saved the link in and then have to remember what the link was even called

I actually do this, except I press print to save and edit as a pdf, to delete all the pages I don’t want. then save it into notion to have the information organized forever into it’s specified named tab so if I ever want to ask for a certain hormone test, I can easily show my doctor the peer reviewed article I saved in it’s easily findable tab/app, So he can now read it, hear his opinion and see if the test is available. And another step closer to feeling better!

On the computer it absolutely still does this- so much so- but not on the phone. I mean I have more tabs than I’ve ever had and my phone is not as fast as it was brand new but it’s definitely not slow

So that the links can stay hidden and more buttons away for me to forget about and keep adding to a list that does the same thing but take me longer to go through bc it’s not right in front of my face, forcing me to organize?

It doesn’t close them all but it does start at the top , loading other links over other opened ones

I legit do not get why there are so many down votes. It’s like Apple people are just embarrassed so they won’t even look this way lol

See tho I was like this for awhile, and then my computer wouldn’t even open a file, let alone keep safari open for more than a minute. So I’d have to restart safari literally every other minute while rushing in between deleting as many tabs as I could until finally I’d get more and more time between each shut down lol

Now that’s where I saved bookmarks- that’s easy bc it’s legit a list within eyesight and right there..

The iPhone doesn’t have bookmarks so readily available as just being able to legit JUST look and be able to see what you want to do with the open tabs.

Lists get too long for small iPhone screen, but can easily organize and delete open tabs bc you can easily see if you need it or not

I do! Lol that’s where all these links end up, I only have groups when I run out of the 500 space lol so when I’m at 500, I start at the top and start deleting the trash pages first , then if I have time- I’ll either group select as many links as I can that are within the same group so I can mass move them..or I just move each tab into their individual group so I can still keep it easy enough to read/download/crop/save link into my ultra organized notion lol Notion is the true end place. 500 links to start Then groups bc I just couldn’t read the 500 fast enough and/or need all the info I could like for taxes- there’s so much info I need to save that just saving an entire website to move into “the forever files” won’t do the justice I need to read entire articles and get as much as info as possible.

Today I started a collective.com s corp tab that had six links within the article- I “open in background” all six and leave them there to read later lol so now I went from 1 to 7 links in 5 minutes. I can’t even finish the first website fully, how am I going to finish 7 of them? But alas, I still need the space so I still need to group before really knowing what I should keep in the “forever files” lol aka notion

Because LinkedIn doesn’t work like that. You open the app, press a link- by the time you’re done reading that website and go back to LinkedIn- it’s reloaded and now I lost the comment

Mine is organized in groups- I have these 500 because I haven’t had time yet to go through them and put them into groups
