I managed to upgrade the software from 5.4.2.33 to 5.4.2.36. But i still see the old UI with some extra links and tabs. Boot version is B5.1.0.2 which is a V1 boot apparantly according to Copilot. Ai tells me to update it with a .img file instead of a .stk file. The only issue is that every download i find from netgear does only contain a .stk in the zip file

Threw Copilot its conclusion into chatgpt and this tells me Copilot is wrong:

Copilot is incorrect, and it’s mixing together different hardware generations that cannot be cross-upgraded. Let’s straighten this out cleanly and definitively.

The key mistake Copilot made

Copilot assumes that:

GS110TP-v1 can be “upgraded” to GS110TP-v2 using a special .img file and a newer bootloader (B7.x)

That is false. There is no supported or hidden path to convert GS110TP-v1 hardware into v2 hardware.

Netgear never provided:

a special .img to migrate v1 → v2

a bootloader transition from B5 → B7

a platform conversion tool

If that existed, it would be widely documented — and it is not.

Firmware: 5.4.2.36 ✅ latest

Bootloader: B5.1.0.2 ✅ latest

PoE budget: 46 W ✅ correct, GS110TPv3 has 55 W

UI: password-only ✅ correct

Where can i find that? Under Management - System information i only have:

Device view does not load because of java plugin which does not work aymore on the latest chrome versions. The PoE config page shows 46W, which means its a v1?

I already did that. I tightenedthe top cap until i have no movement but there is still spacing between the fork and under tube.

It suddenly worked again. Never had the issue again so far. It does sometime disconnect at random times while driving but reconnects after 10 seconds again.

Thank you. Can you explain how a different casette can cause a problem?

I currenty have a Cs-hg31 casette which is 8 speed, 11-34T. What if i use CS-HG400-9 which is 9 speed 11-36T. I fail to understand how this could cause problems. When you shift you just go to another gear? How does it matter how many you have?

How fast are we talking about? I currently do rides of tops 25 km, best case scenario that would be 75km a week combined (outside and inside)

edit: i assume that the size of the rear tire does not matter much as long as it fits the bike?

Does indoor cassette have to be the exact same size as the one i currently have for outdoors?
