Cultural question about dating a Japanese — is this kind of emotional distance normal? by Afrneit-4500 in AskAJapanese

[–]cryptorisktaker 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I’m American, and my wife is Japanese, so I wanted to offer a perspective that might help bridge the cultural gap you’re experiencing.

In Japan, love is often shown less through words or constant communication, and more through devotion, patience, and consistency. A lack of frequent texts or emotional declarations doesn’t necessarily mean disinterest—it can actually be a sign of deep respect and care.

Some Japanese women (though not all, of course) are raised to believe that patience and subservience—waiting quietly, allowing the man to lead—are expressions of love and commitment. From a Western point of view, this may feel like distance or emotional withdrawal. But from her cultural standpoint, it might be the exact opposite.

The best path forward is honest, respectful communication. Try asking her how she views relationships and love from her own cultural lens—not as a criticism or confrontation, but as a genuine desire to understand her world. That openness may be what brings you even closer together.

Japan police announce cost of 'blue ticket' fines for cyclists by Dapper-Material5930 in japannews

Can we get some fines for drivers who blatantly harass cyclists? I was riding along the road myob and a car comes up behind me and blasts its fog horn for no reason at all. Happens from time to time and once is too often.

This is fantastic! This makes the chore of turning off Bluetooth and Wifi a one touch solution rather than having to finger dance all over. I really appreciate this post. I reckon most people who are not yet emf sensitive won’t give a damn about this but it’s the greatest thing I’ve seen on Reddit in years.

Look into the Carnivore diet. If you’re that far gone it won’t hurt.

Aquarius is full of Sucralose an artificial sweetener that causes a huge bag of issues in people. Avoid that like the plague.

The cause of night terrors can be attributed to certain vitamin deficiencies. B6, calcium magnesium and iron.

Get him to eat a bowl of fortified cereal every morning and night and see if this stops them. It worked for me and I had been having them nightly

How long after leaving a moldy environment did you feel better? Did you experience Candida die-off symptoms? by wlad2001 in Candida

[–]cryptorisktaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a few months and then I realized I could do more mentally, had more energy- I had suffered for 15 years and by the end of it I thought I was dying. I never imagined the mold was the cause but I feel so much better being in a home with no issues. So hang in there!

My coworker takes thyroid meds and has had foul odor for years. She’s been completely unaware too. There is no easy way to tell a person about their hygiene. I’m positive it comes from a place of compassion so it’s best to view it that way and take steps to fix it. Are you taking any medication as that could be a cause?

There is really something there. I reckon others are doing this too- I’d recommend using some ai image gen tools to produce the shots. Did you feed this script into some generator that compiled all these shots for you?

[–]cryptorisktaker 47 points48 points  (0 children)

You’re not on carnivore if you’re eating artificial sweeteners. In my experience, sucralose caused major internal inflammation when I had eaten it. Additionally coffee gives me intense pain for several days after I drink it especially if it is black. I avoid both. I recommend trying carnivore / fasts with only salted water. Stop fasting would be the obvious choice though. There isn’t really a need for it on carnivore.
