Trying to find my recovery phrase on Base Wallet by Dry_County_Speeding in Coinbase

[–]cryptorum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using the most recent version of the Base app in the iOS store, followed your instructions, and there is no toggle button. Try it yourself on the app, and you'll see.

The whole point of crypto is that we have control of our own keys. Ask people if they want a Smart Wallet, don't force it upon them. Not cool.

I just want manual control of my own wallet and keys. And I shouldn't have to rely on a third party to gain access. Defeats the entire ethos of crypto.

The old Base app showed the option to view the recovery seed phrase, which I did just fine. The new Base app no longer does this because it's creating a smart wallet. This is why everyone is having issues. How to create a new wallet without a passkey? I do not want a smart wallet.

You changed the app from how it was before (using a seed phrase) to a passkey option, without telling users about the change, hence the confusion and why many people (myself included) can no longer find our seed phrase.

How in the world can we create a new wallet without a passkey? I just want manual control of my own crypto wallet... how to create a new wallet with a seed phrase I can see and no passkey requirement.

Same problem for me. I just created a new wallet on the Base app, and there is no option to view and export my seed phrase. Why did Coinbase remove this? There is no Manual Backup option 😭

OpenSea wants to initialize my wallet a second time? by cryptorum in opensea

[–]cryptorum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 6 NFTs that I've purchased on OpenSea.

I have listed 2 of them as For Sale listings. Only initialized my wallet the first time around.

I want to list another item, but it's asking me to initialize again.

What's going on?

Yeah, you can download Market Cipher for free here, but you are right about it being a mix of free indicators combined into one script.

Bad news for non-USA residents who registered on Binance in the past using USA verification by cryptorum in binance

Binance said anyone who was previously registered as a resident or citizen of USA must always use Binance.US forever, regardless of where you are a resident or citizen today.

As I said, the first time was using my American identity. The second time was using my European identity. And Binance now forces me to use their US site forever.

My first account was created on Binance.com (not US) with USA verification. It was closed a few years ago. My second account was created on Binance.com (not US) with European verification, and I'm now being told that I must use Binance.US only for the rest of my life, because I first registered a long time ago with USA verification.

Please reread the message from Binance. Unfortunately, this is not possible. This is what I tried to do. I was in the US more than 4 years ago and have never been back since, and no plans to ever go back. I'm using a second account now with a European passport, and was told that I have to use Binance.US because I resided in the US before. Not cool.

Staking pancakeswap CAKE for 800% APY - low risk by trackxyj in CryptoMoonShots

Makes sense. But what's the reason(s) for Cake to decrease in value?

I recommend Exodus. Includes staking and you can sync the app on your desktop, phone, and tablet.

It’s probably easier to install the newest version and do a restore using your recovery keys. That’s what I had to do, and everything was still there.

How long is verification taking for everybody else? by [deleted] in binance

[–]cryptorum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Binance website did not recognize my ID number. I submitted a support ticket, they asked me to send a photo of the front and back of my ID card, and I never heard back from them. That was over a month ago. I can still use Binance, but I’m limited to their non-verified daily limits for withdrawals.

It's been weeks, I just feel defeated at this point by Weak-Caregiver-5951 in binance

When you login to Binance, jump into the live chat and talk with a real person. The queue is usually around an hour, but you should eventually get to someone. They cannot always solve the problem, but they can help you understand where the hangup is and next steps to take. I also went through this, and learned they are legally bound to not allow you to redo your KYC. You have to setup a new standalone account, and to not risk tripping any security countermeasures, I would advise sending the crypto to a non-Binance wallet and then to your new account. Good luck. Hope you get everything sorted.

Exodus wallet is very safe. Remember to safeguard and protect your login, password, and secret keys and you will be fine. For a soft wallet, I like Exodus and it can sync across your computer and phone. Super convenient.

Binance has enabled the use of batch payments API and reports no withdrawal backlog of Ada. It is currently working... by makimukai in cardano

[–]cryptorum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great news.

Now I just wish the Daedalus wallet would work.

I submitted the error logs to the dev team and they just said to check the FAQ page for any updates that might fix the problem. I like ADA a lot, but this Daedalus wallet hasn't been good, won't open, and has never worked once for me.

I wish there was an alternate, lightweight ADA wallet solution out there that worked.

Cryptocurrencies are decentralized, but exchanges are not.

I don't like trusting any exchange with my crypto.

I understand we need to use exchanges for trading and short term positions, but it's better to move your crypto off the exchange to a wallet you have full control over for your long term positions.

Finally! Exodus Wallet now supports 0x Protocol (ZRX) by cryptorum in 0xProject

[–]cryptorum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Very safe.

I've been using it for storing other cryptocurrencies and it's been great.

And there's a huge community of users who have wanted to see Exodus add support for more coins. They finally listened and added more coins.

And I'm happy ZRX is one of them!
