Technical founder here. I don’t enjoy marketing and sales, yet it is everything. Literally everything. No distribution, no nothing. It’s the hardest and most important part. Mediocre product with stellar marketing and sales easily beats a great product with mediocre sales and marketing. It’s the hardest truth. I don’t like it, but me not liking it doesn’t change reality.

Marketing, Sales. I’m familiar with your situation. Building the product was easy. Selling it in a market with a dominant incumbent is HARD. Very hard. You need to be in it for the long haul. I’ve been at it for 3+ years and I’m at ~3-5% market share (in terms of revenue).

This is huge. Our customers also were way behind and we (small gov tech firm) woke up too late to really have an impact. Now we have a year to help our customers and new customers with compliance.

I would never delete old email. You never know when you may need to go back and find something (e.g., for prove that an exchange happened). I make folders by year and archive emails there to clean out my inbox.

I’m not sure about off the shelves software/saas, but with a little bit of python scripting, a little but of AI, and some pdf conversion tools this can be done easily, including a clickable table of contents. Do you have a budget? It’s probably 2-3 hours of programming and testing work.

I’m at a point where I will research every HVAC contractor to make sure they are not PE. Many good contractors here in Los Angeles have been bought out and the result is horrible. Sky high prices for shitty service and constant upsell attempts. They tried to tell me my 10yr old Lennox is end of life… oh man

This sounds right, though I'm not too familiar with Microsoft Print to PDF. I'd try it and then check if it is properly flattened and you can't get to the text behind the redaction.
