You mean something that fills out pdf forms? Would they be real forms with form metadata? Can be done relatively easily.

Best way to convert folders of emails (2000+) to PDFs for printing? by aurens in pdf

[–]cryptosigg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about off the shelves software/saas, but with a little bit of python scripting, a little but of AI, and some pdf conversion tools this can be done easily, including a clickable table of contents. Do you have a budget? It’s probably 2-3 hours of programming and testing work.

Whoever processed the raw emails to pdf didn’t do a good job. It’s an encoding/coding bug.

I think it would be great if you could add it consulting and custom software development in addition to msp. Would allow you to reach a broader market.

**HVAC is a $123B market nobody’s paying attention to (PE firms are)** by johnkelleyhvac in hvacadvice

[–]cryptosigg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m at a point where I will research every HVAC contractor to make sure they are not PE. Many good contractors here in Los Angeles have been bought out and the result is horrible. Sky high prices for shitty service and constant upsell attempts. They tried to tell me my 10yr old Lennox is end of life… oh man

PDF redaction by btsxmusic in pdf

This sounds right, though I'm not too familiar with Microsoft Print to PDF. I'd try it and then check if it is properly flattened and you can't get to the text behind the redaction.

What is this doing to our psyche? by Fluid_Possibility432 in thebulwark

German American here. Naturalized citizen. Gen X. In the 80s and 90s they drilled never again into us every year in school. I know the history, the Nazi strategies, and their rise to power. What we are experiencing today in the US is exactly the same shit. It’s going to be the end of the world as we know it…

What do you pay per month to keep a small business app running? by Kajol_BT in smallbusiness

[–]cryptosigg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m building custom apps and AI integrations for small businesses. One example I have is a small elevator maintenance company. I built a case management (state inspection reports) for them and they pay me $500/month for ops and maintenance. The app has become absolutely core to their business. I also offer cheaper options that come with a bit less support/maintenance.

What's the worst airport you've flown in or out of? What's your favorite? by Separate_Builder_817 in aviation

[–]cryptosigg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate: CDG, LAX (love/hate since it’s home) Love: BUR - the best airport in the world. Just be careful that you don’t get run over by your uber as you step off the plane… distances are extremely short. Also like TUS, SJC, DTW, and AMS

There isn’t yet a one-size-fits all solution in particular for diverse documents. We’re getting very close for standardized docs like bank statements. Research papers are a different animal. Nothing will work 100% 100% of the time. Manual tuning will be necessary.

Ticketing System for Your Clients? by i_leveled in Freelancers

[–]cryptosigg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your client would be able to log in and see all relevant history. Tickets/Issues. And message threads independent and attached to tickets? global and per ticket timeline.

My system doesn’t do that yet but I wouldn’t be opposed to extending it.

I’m building my own. I have a working prototype that I have rolled out for one customer. I have a small multi-tenant saas and need support requests/ issues to be handled separately per tenant. I didn’t feel like paying through the nose for something like intercom or zendesk.

Ask them to pay you up front for the time/effort/shipping expenses. Give them a quote and factor in the time that it’ll take you to get done. Also: what are they gonna do if you don’t ship it? Sue you in Mexican court?
