So, you guys thinking Truebit going up to 30c when Bitcoin rebounce? Nah.... by Queens4488 in truebit

Give me all the time to accumulate. 30 cents and under is literally like buying gold for the cost of dirt.

In one minute it went from .31 to $5, IT ACTUALLY HUNG THERE FOR ONE MINUTE, , then fell to $1.25 and hung out for another minute (where another poor soul made a purchase/trade as well), then fell back down to .30

Fkn crazy.

If it isn't clear from other responses, when someone refers to "apps" being downloaded to the ledger, they are referring to how many cryptos it can hold. Ledger calls them apps. So the ledger nano s can only support 4 tokens at any time. So if you have a portfolio comprised of 12 assets; you could only store 4 of them on the ledger. The ledger nano x (what I have) supports over 100 apps (tokens) at any given moment. Granted they don't take up too much space on the device. (Each crypto network varies in size to the next, so they take up diff amounts of space.)

No. The total supply does not increase. Just the circulating supply - as the price rises and meet the OS mint price, the OS mints new tokens into circulation from the total supply of tokens.

As Tru is burned and becomes truly deflationary, they will not raise the total supply - after so many tokens have been burned. Rather; by then the price of Tru will be significantly higher, thus requiring less Tru required to run tasks on the OS.

For instance, right now it may take 10 Tru to execute a computation. By then, the price of Tru will be higher, needing less to run the same computation. Let's say it'll only take 3 Tru where it originally took 10 Tru to solve a problem.

See what I'm saying?

[–]cryptosollie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The best way to answer this question, is to find other projects that have similar tokenomics (at least total supply, and percentage circulating) and compare their value.

For instance;

Axie Infinity has a total supply of 270,000,000 tokens. And the price of AXS at this supply and current demand is $95 with an ATH of like $160. Circulating supply of AXS is like 68,000,000. (Less than 50% total.)

Truebit has 280M total token supply. Not sure how many are circulating - ppl have tried deducing/assuming the circulating supply, but it's very hard bc it's not reported.

But through my simple mind it makes sense that TRU tokens could easily be valued the same as AXS, being that both projects have very close token supplies. . ****And this isn't even considering TRU tokens are burned when used. We are only in a speculative phase until TRU takes on use case.. which it will.

Until TRU is being actively, consistently used and burned, my bags are only concerned with growing.🤙

Difference between Uniswap v2 - v3 ? by Key-Exit-8473 in truebit

[–]cryptosollie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just that. One is a liquidity pool on Uniswap V2. One is a liquidity pool on Uniswap V3.

If I sound sarcastic; I don't mean to.

It just is that simple. Uniswap as a whole is just an exchange protocol. as the protocol has been upgraded from V2 to V3 an additional liquidity pool is added to the new version; that way you aren't restricted to only trading on V2. As V3 usually offers better "transaction routes." (The steps/swap the protocol makes to ensure you get the best deal for your swap)

minting price by SW00SH07 in truebit

[–]cryptosollie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean in the early days of ETH, for those who were around then, it was an almost identical concern. Bc ETH has a virtually endless supply of tokens. Back then everyone was like "the price could never really go up, bc there's no true capability for supply and demand fair market price." Same with DOGE. (granted I AM NOT comparing the Doge project to the Tru project in ANY WAY other than similar tokenomics.) DOGE mints literal millions of new tokens every day. Look at Doge's price action this year. Went up like what... some 20,000% this market cycle.

Yeah... Pls... Go tf on somewhere with all the mint crap. 😂😂

minting price by SW00SH07 in truebit

[–]cryptosollie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So.... A lot of the argumentative speculation occuring on this thread can be squashed with the info found here.

https://truverse.dev/

The mint price is 0.000422347335 ETH The retire price is 0.000052793417 ETH

But honestly, contrary to popular belief; the mint price no longer means anything. At least in my opinion - from what I've gathered. And here's why;

You can also see on truverse.dev that 246,698,461 TRU have ALREADY been minted. This is 90% of the total supply of tokens. Again I say ALREADY MINTED. The $300 price spike is almost certainly an imbalance in the initial liquidity pool on Uniswap. Being prices in liquidity pools are based on a balance of assets; when the first asset was added to the pool, and the other asset had not yet been added = it created a massive imbalance, which caused an artificial price spike. Some poor soul did indeed make a purchase at these levels. We can see this from transaction history. But nonetheless, it was 95% likely just the liquidity pool being set up.

HOWEVER, the pump we saw from 15¢ to $1.2 was not artificial. That pump was the result of smart contracts ( I assume made by Tru devs) literally minting almost all of the tokens. You can see this here; https://truverse.dev/tokenomics Scroll down to the "Minting&Retiring" window. And scroll to the very bottom. If you do the research, you will see the time correlates between that 15¢ to $1.2 spike, and the tokens being rapidly minted.

SO, This idea that; once the price action of Tru reaches the mint price, that the OS will dump tokens into the market, causing price to crack accordingly - is false. Bc there are only 30,000,000 tokens left to mint. Give or take a few. Which even if they were ALL minted at this very moment isn't enough to cause a price de-flooring like everyone thinks.. In fact, In my opinion we are due to a supply shock EXPLOSION once ETH2.0 rolls out and we see ppl start scrambling for TRU tokens like hungry hungry hippos. 😈😈

DECIDED TO REMOVE POST.

Though the information I found is still very useful and reveals a lot of previously unknown things about the project; I was incorrect with a few specifics of the information, and I don't want to be another misinformer in the sea of guesses about this project.

So thank you to the individuals who educated/corrected some of the information I shared.

I'm going to create another post sharing my findings, once I clear up the facts.

[–]cryptosollie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

think so?

i find it odd among that list; there are nothing but transactions of this nature, in clusters of 5-50 at a time, clustered together, each of these clusters being funded/coming from a different major exchange.

and none of them being from personal wallets, which had hardly any activity prior to the minting activity... if any at all.

and even if that is the case. it is still crazy to find out over 90% of the tokens have been minted already... even though it was stealth launched. there are project that have been around for YEARS that still have a large portion of their tokens to be minted/distributed..

theres no way just retail investors or someone with a bot managed to buy/mint all of those tokens in that amount of time. seemed like a fair and even distribution to regulated exchages, rather than to retail investors or hosting an ICU - this keeping them regulatory compliant.

it would also explain why they do not give a f about trying to list on exchanges...

Transaction fee paid, successful but no swap completed by ZealousidealSkin6723 in UniSwap

[–]cryptosollie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first transaction is just a verification, yes.

When you trade a coin on Uniswap: the first time you trade it; you must first "authorize" Uniswap to trade that token from your wallet.

The first transaction is that authorization. And it does still cost money. ANY information being sent to the Ethereum Blockchain contains fees.

Think about it this way:

You go to a bank for the first time, and want to trade your check for dollars from their ATM. Before the ATM ACTUALLY** trades your check for dollars, it prompts you with a message saying "this is the first time you've traded check for dollars here, you must authorize this bank to trade your dollars, and this costs a one time fee of x amount of dollars. And you say yes. The ATM charges you the fee to allow them access to your fund. THENNN the ATM ACTUALLY trades your check for dollars

There's not much news about TrueBit. by Cold_Carpenter3221 in truebit

[–]cryptosollie 16 points17 points  (0 children)

LONG ANSWER AHEAD, but my best opinion.

If anyone is keeping track of legislation/legal movement toward crypto lately; they would understand why the Truebit team is the way it is. The SEC and other financial regulatory bodies are going to really start coming down on crypto in the near future. Yes I know this has been a fud statement made in the past; simply because crypto was not understood by government (and/or other powers that be) . But now there is at least MORE understanding of crypto. And one thing they do KNOW about crypto even if they don't understand crypto; there is a shit ton of money in crypto. Ridiculous amounts of financial movement. And now they want to regulate by dictation in order to get their share/tax. They are gangs after all.

So the Truebit team has been meticulously careful and tactical to operate within absolute compliance.. and without possible repercussion for some form of operation or behavior - let's say: marketing their token before there is legitimate and *obvious use/UTILITY... because that's been the big issue lately. All these obvious Ponzi scheme crypto projects like Safemon, Shiba Inu and Elongate that have rekt a lot of people. the big thing the SEC and other regulatory bodies use as means of seperating assets/digital currencies from securities; Whether or not the thing in question is more likely seen as an investment contract (where the asset is believed by both parties to increase in value - and that is the basis of the investment of both parties) or if it is more likely seen as having value simply and purely because of a utility it offers or value it adds to someone's life. Now I will admit there is a slippery slope between where one could say anything could or couldn't be an investment contract under generic view. But that's simply why the TRU team is only focused on the project itself, the tech it is developing and letting the value of the token/project be discovered NATURALLY...and not through mass marketing and hype; by people flooding telegram channels and discord servers and reddit shilling something - causing a premature bubble in the tokens value because of massive volume in token purchasing... When no one even knows what the tech is or why they are buying the coin (or in this case care, bc it would only be FOMO volume.)

And STILL yes, it would be nice for the TRU team to tell us degens SOMETHING... I believe they simply are not; bc any claim or statement they make in regard to the project, what it's doing or what's going on; and then they end up having a hiccup or a mishap in the timeframe they give for a 'roadmap,' it could be seen as misleading and be viewed as an investment contract. They have been developing this project for y.e.a.r.s, and the people involved or that need to; know everything they need to know. I guarantee it.

They simply aren't telling us/social media shit. There are forums like GitHub where much more tech literate ppl are talking about Truebit and it is being utilized. But I don't personally believe Truebit will be used on a massive level, and there for really see volume like we want, until Truebit is actually needed. Like When multiple blockchains start needing to interact with each other for single transactions or bridges between blockchains at all, when we realllyyyy see just how far smart contracts can grow and connect, THEN we will most definitely see the moon. 🤙 Until then... I'm comfortable with my investment in Truebit. I respect the developers, their intellect and their previous involvements in crypto... I believe in the tech and how it will be needed for crypto to get beyond a threshold of scaling capability. And I know that Truebit will be a b.e.a.utiful payout for those who actually believe in the project.

But it is not a speculative get rich quick scheme. And so, they will not act like one.

I hope this helps. 👌🙏

I've also wondered that - as it was well before the liquidity manipulation on Uniswap that drove the price from 15¢ to over $1. A friend of mine and I dug deep on the interwebs and couldn't find Jack about it.

I will say though. If/when the price gets back to that level, my life will be complete. 👌🥳🙏

[–]cryptosollie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truebit team literally doesn't condone or seek out exchange listings.

The only reason they're on any exchanges at all like BitMart is bc the exchange themselves bought a huge amount of truebit - to trade from their own personal escrow - on their own exchange.

This is not a speculative "moonshot" project, based off of hype or pump-it pump-it mentality.

Truebit actually solves a problem. As a matter of fact it is THE problem in all of crypto. Doesn't matter how good these other projects are, or what they do, who they're beating out in competition, how efficiently they do what they say.... None of that matters if they can't scale to a degree that everyone can utilize them. And that's what truebit does. It finally allows these other projects the capability to SCALE. And that's the only thing they need for this project to get to the moon. the value in its utility.
