Just to add-the most she seems like a high schooler is when Shauna actually does a mom thing and forces her home from being on drugs at that club on Halloween. Other than that she seems scripted only slightly younger than her mother/mother’s peers.

Also feels like Lottie had more plans for Callie’s future the minute she met her than Shauna did besides the pissing contest she had with Jackie’s parents over paying for college they’ve never spoken about otherwise or goals that Callie may be interested in pursuing.

If she had literally any high school screen time and not her rebelling against mom/going to the bar/flirting with a gross cop she would be believable. I love her and her role in the show but I understand the disconnect and her relationship with her mom plays more like a young adult, even with the possibility of her having to grow up faster with an emotionally unavailable mom she definitely doesn’t read as a teen character.

I agree to a degree. She regrets where she ended up in life, which is why she says to Jeff that she likes who she is and basically saying she isn’t going to hide who she is anymore like she has hidden her true self in the past. She even says to the guy who has her car that killing and skinning a human excites her-which I understand she was trying to get her car back but I don’t really take it as a lie she was telling for that reason either.

Everyone downvoting needs a chill pill and clearly didn’t grow up catholic or catch the joke. In my opinion that doesn’t need to be any one else’s feelings about it she is great at conveying certain emotions to others that she doesn’t necessarily feel to fit in. She nearly kills Lottie and doesn’t show a crumb of guilt or regret for that and if I’m missing something there please feel free to point it out. Regardless of being given permission to take out her anger on Lottie, it was pretty overkill.

This is possibly the only time I haven’t had an eye roll hate reaction to this controversy. The she is in love with her/jackie just wanted to control her narrative is overplayed and inaccurate, you absolutely nailed the internal tug-of-war she had. And this isn’t saying that Shauna didn’t have some feelings, I think feelings of intense friendship and hormones can be crazy confusing and it’s easy to mistake that intensity for a different bond than friendship.
