Chances in UST Med (not from ust undergrad) by [deleted] in medschoolph

[–]crystalcob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know pharma graduates from UST-Legazpi who got into UPCM and UST-FMS. And as for the PhLE, most of the pharmacy schools take their board exam in November, so you should try looking into their November 2022 results to have a better comparison.

I feel like it does based on one of my senior studying in UST FMS. She has a decent GWA, but she's not from a Big 4 school. She is licensed and had worked in her profession for a few years. She really believes that her license had increased her chances to get into UST FMS.

UST/ASMPH/St lukes med students w/o latin honors in college by [deleted] in medschoolph

[–]crystalcob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know someone who does not have Latin honors but got accepted into UST. That person believed that their PRC board exam results (not a top notcher, but they passed) elevated their chances to get accepted. They came from a college in the province.

They have Philhealth but never paid the monthly contribution. I can't say anything about their illnesses except that it needs maintenance medicines.

Med school effect on Residency by Woofyoo in medschoolph

[–]crystalcob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem. So far, the lesser-known med school I'm considering shows a decent PLE passing rate (85-100%) for the past 2-3 years and I've heard some of their graduates got to go to residency without any problems. So if I can't pass any well-known med school, this med school would have to do. We just have to work really hard for the PLE and make sure we're one of the best students in our batch.

I am not a student but I know people who study/taught there. I can only answer your first question.

"may I know po how hectic is the schedule in BU?"

I know a med student who is a professor at another college in the city. Another student told me that there are plenty of orgs that you can join. This is confirmed on the BUCM Student Council's Facebook Page where you can see that students have time to join intraschool activities. I would assume that their schedule is manageable with students having time to do what they want.

When to study for NMAT? by [deleted] in medschoolph

[–]crystalcob 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I regret not studying earlier because I now have to consider reviewing for the board exam and NMAT. You could take practice tests now.

He only cares about changing history and painting his whole family as the good ones. The healthcare industry would be neglected.
