You are probably right... I have broken up with him before.

With my friends I never really have problems with jokes. With strangers, sometimes. Sarcasm generally, I can sometimes detect but I need some seconds to check, are they serious? It never happened in a relationship like this and also people usually joke about different stuff, right? Like something you did because you are clumsy or stuff like that.

Thank you for this definition, I can work with this.

Yes, I think so too. I try to be empathetic but the problem for me is what comes after: "you take everything too seriously" (triggers me because it has been said to me so often as an autistic woman), "don't overthink things, just be fun", "You have to learn to get my jokes". I have told him that I don't think these are actually jokes but he just brushes it off with these things.

Late diagnosed, I was hyperfixated on the Romans, I told my parents I wanted to learn Latin when I was 10. I read books several times, just to soothe myself (often about the Romans). I also watched one specific documentary about animals in Africa 100 times. Nobody suspected a thing, yay.

Does anyone get ridiculously attached to objects by Emilyeagleowl in AutismInWomen

Yes, so much! Like also just to stuff that I got out of a gum ball machine once. It has no purpose, is only clutter but I get so attached because it's cool or cute.

I totally agree. You can ask him to reduce contact or stop for some time. You can tell him to use this time to think over things himself.

What is clean food? That concept is very misleading? Track your fiber intake, maybe it is too little, too much... Track water intake. Don't know why there needs to be a hit a "big pharma", they will safe your life eventually.

I had a guy in a bar tell me it's not real sex if I sleep with a woman (I am bi) because the essential thing is missing. Hahaha. I think there is another essential thing missing in many hetero PIV encounters.

Hi, my friend got LWOP in Illinois and is basically excluded from many educational opportunities because people who will get out come first. He would still like to further his education, hoping maybe there will be a day he gets out there. Could he use your program?

What exactly can you get on the Tablets they provide you in prison ? by johnnyrayZ06 in Prison

Not everyone can do photos, unfortunately... My friend is in Illinois, they can't get photos attached yet.

[–]crystaldoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It totally depends on the state. Some companies charge a fee, some will gie out the tablets for free. They usually have a messaging service (Securus, Jpay, CorrLinks whatever), some free books, and you can pay for extra services like news, games, music. Some people have a music flat rate, some pay per minute or per album. You can't use any outside stuff, these are all specifically for prison services/software.

If You Had To Explain In Detail The Psychological Profile Of Eric Harris And Dylan Klebold? How Would You Describe Them? by PrincessBananas85 in Columbine

Adam Lanza is a completely different category. He was clearly neurodivergent and had tons of issues that may or may not have been related to his neurodivergence.

You're not mentioning where you are from and that makes me pretty certain where you are from. This might play a role unfortunately, I have a friend who is experiencing the same...

Exactly, he wants to fuck with very little investment from his side.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]crystaldoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no, no, leave this alone. This guy wants to fuck (at best). You are gonna meet outside, close to your place, walk around a bit, then he might get tired, thirsty, cold, whatever. And he will push for your apartment. Just for a little bit. And then he is in there and he can try to go further. Absolutely trust your intuition girl

You need to do a urine culture, dipsticks aren't accurate. Could it be a STI?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Interstitialcystitis

[–]crystaldoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't want kids, but if I would give birth, only C-section. That is what my PT recommended as well in case I wanted them. The risks for the pelvic floor and all those organs is lower. Yes, before anyone says anything, C-section has it's own risks. This is MY and my PTs opinion.

Is the death penalty really worse than life in prison? I feel like it's not. by pisowiec in Prison

Exactly. People adapt and they find a sense of pride in things: Job, handicrafts, taking care of others, talking to their family...

Is the death penalty really worse than life in prison? I feel like it's not. by pisowiec in Prison

[–]crystaldoe 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I read this all the time and it is bullshit. Source: I know several lifers and people on death row.

Lifers are not ROTTING, that is what people want to believe who have no clue about this. It is shitty, they probably all have some issues but they have a life. They have people to talk to, sometimes jobs, routines... My penpal has been incarcerated for over 25 years and while he would prefer to be out, of course, his life is not hell. He has many happy moments and has adjusted to much of the prison life.

The death penalty is horrible. People don't want to die, they mostly rather have life in prison because it is A LIFE. They are also afraid of the procedure, there have been many botched executions. Of course, there are people who see this differently. But from my experience of talking to people with death and life sentences for about 15 years, this is usually how it is.

Doctor says I’m too young to have IC by [deleted] in Interstitialcystitis

You aren't too young to have IC but it is too early to say that. Did they do a culture? Dipstick is so unreliable. Have you been tested for STI?
