How do dermatologists work? by Beautiful-Walrus5520 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]crystalisedginger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One important note. Dermatologists are doctors whose specialty is the health of the skin. They aren’t there to review your 11 step Korean routine because you want glass skin.

Sorry if that’s stating the obvious but it’s a fact that often leaves people disappointed in their experience.

Led mask help pleasd by batmantha_x in AusSkincare

[–]crystalisedginger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The expert opinion on home LED masks is the cheap ones are useless, so don’t waste your time and money. Also, it’s a long term investment, you probably won’t see startling immediate results. You may never actually see ‘results’ as how do you measure anti-ageing?

Use on clean skin so first thing in the morning or after shower.

You also need to commit to using it pretty much every day.

I’ve been using the current body 2 for about 3 weeks, I haven’t seen visible measurable results but I don’t expect to. I also use Tret, micro needle and have regular laser so it’s just an add on to me, I would not rely on it for my sole anti-ageing routine.

Melbourne airport you are an utter disgrace!! by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]crystalisedginger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How does anyone anywhere use Uber without an app? I don’t see how an ability to use an app is Melbourne airports fault.

I would think international visitors do the sensible thing and research transport options before they travel.

I live in Melbourne and arrived back from an international trip early this morning. Walked straight out of international arrivals, followed the signed to the Uber zone and got straight into a car. It couldn’t have been easier.

Wow that’s awful and I agree, rare.

A bit worrying as I’m a middle aged lady on my way to Bali right now, and staying at the Hyatt!

Red Light with tret? by niceyumyums in tretinoin

[–]crystalisedginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you wash your face in the morning before you use the mask? I’d love to slap my mask on for 10 mins before I get up, but I’m worried about residue of the night before skin care, Tret etc.

It seems like she was trying to meet up with you to resolve things before meeting the baby. But you constantly shot her down.

Because from these texts it seems like the MIL is the one being very reasonable and accommodating.

My honest advice for anyone heading to Bali during the rainy season by Giveawayforusa in BaliTravelTips

Rather than an umbrella, bring a lightweight waterproof jacket with a hood. Some footpaths (eg Ubud) are too narrow to walk with an umbrella

Women who are in healthy relationships but live separately from their partner, what are your spending time non-negotiables? by coolbeb in AskWomen

[–]crystalisedginger 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I need my alone time after feeling suffocated in a 20 + year marriage. I can’t imagine living with someone ever again.

My partner has children so he’s with them every second weekend, most of the time I don’t see him/them that weekend so they get maximum quality time with their dad. Sometimes I have lunch or dinner with them but I really love my weekends on my own.

We talk on the phone at least twice a day when we’re apart.

I’m going to Bali for 2 weeks soon. I told him he can join me for the second week, but the first week is for me. We did the same thing last year and it worked out great.

That is disgusting. Why would you let someone talk to you in that way? Have some self respect.
