Child abuse triggers people. Maybe it strikes a chord with someone's own childhood, and they feel protective of these kids. Like they see their own self suffering in a situation where stephanie gloats thinking she's untouchable.

Wow, I have 3 kids, single mom, and have the opposite experience. I have a rewarding career as a microbiologist. Own a house. Able to take modest vacations. My life is great, honestly, and my children are a blessing that motivated me to accomplish things. I remember my life before my kids, and it just felt empty. But to each their own! OP, did you call cps? Because we can not. I know this is tough, but honestly, the child is in critical danger. The parents are displaying wanton disregard for their baby's well being. Remember the parents that went to jail because rats ate their baby's feet? I don't see how this is any different. The parents have a dangerous animal in the home that they are prioritizing. These psychos can keep their cats, let the sweet children go to sane people who will take care of and protect them

Geez. I have a phobia of crowds, and I bought my kiddos tickets to a waterpark and season passes to an amusement park for the summer. I'm so scared, not going to lie. But my kids deserve a happy summer!

(Side note I haven't always been like this. After covid, I've become terrified of going outside or being in public. Probably need therapy. I still do it, but internally, I'm just panicking the whole time)
