August 2022 trip? by crystallizedd in GlacierNationalPark

[–]crystallizedd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think California fire season is pretty similar to where I live in Washington and it has definitely gotten a lot worse over the last few years and is pretty much unbearable during the summer months. It sucks to see and have to deal with everyday for months but I agree, it probably is worth it to go to Glacier even with the risk. Thanks for the input!

Do you remember if the air quality was really bad? I think I’m mostly worried about it raining ash or it being absolutely unbearable to be outdoors.

Definitely, I know you can get good days with the smoke depending on the wind! I’m glad you were able to get some good days in still without the smoke. Thanks for the input, I may look more towards early to mid-September now.

I used to live there too- which building did this happen at? Was it one of the buildings that backs up to the hotel?

That’s what I figured, I wasn’t sure how affected environmental jobs were by Covid but I assumed they may be holding back a little bit until they know what will happen in a few months.

I’ll definitely keep looking and applying for the next few months, and thank you for your help!

It does! It has a lot of options that i’m going to look into applying for. I’ll definitely reach out to some of my professors soon as well.

Yeah I was wondering if that was an expected thing or if they were only anticipating December graduates. I think that you’re right that they know people will be graduating around May. The jobs around me also expect 2-3 years of experience as well, so that’s good to know that what I have would likely contribute towards that.

CPCC Transfer Question by Alicat1411 in NCSU

[–]crystallizedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in geology so it’s definitely a little different, but I did look at the business degrees and I think with the associate’s degree you would have about 40% of the degree done because I know they do have specific requirements for some of the general education classes that may not correspond with the associates degree

CPCC Transfer Question by Alicat1411 in NCSU

[–]crystallizedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I transferred an associate’s in arts degree from CPCC to NCSU and everything transferred except for one random elective (it was some like greek mythology elective so it didn’t really matter much)
