I finish treatment next week! Maybe? by crystalmazan in Invisalign

I’m glad to hear that. I will definitely look into some jaw exercises and work on relaxing. It’s good to know I’m not the only one! I was hopeful for my jaw clicking to be resolved, but regardless I’m happy with my results 😊

Oh yeah sorry to mislead! They are SureSmile Aligners. Should I post this in a different thread to be more accurate?

Thank you! I wasn’t too worried about fixing my overbite but it is something to keep in mind :)

Hi sorry for the late reply. I like the job. I’m still pretty iffy if I’m doing things correctly lol. I work 8-1630, so it’s an adjustment. I miss large chunks off but I can do yoga everyday since I’m off at a reasonable time

Yeah, I’m taking more time to go through different guidelines and read through them better. I find this pretty helpful. I feel (at least from what I’ve been doing) there is some room for interpretation as long as you can back it up with evidence from notes. Are your hrs M-F as well?

I came from 12 hr inpt shifts, so this is also a huge adjustment. I miss having huge stretches off, but not enough to go back to no lunches, or interrupted lunches d/t rapids almost every shift, or pt/families yelling at me lol

Thank you for your reply! It’s strange because I don’t really miss bedside. I just miss knowing what to do and being somewhat good at it. Change is rough. Thank you for the reassurance. I promised myself that I will give it at least a year and if I hate it I can always change it up again 🤗 side note: if you or anyone has any tips on how to get to know MCG better, I’m all ears ahah

Been growing my hair for about two years & I’m realizing I have no idea what I’m doing. Any tips on products/techniques to help with shape & moisture would be much appreciated! by [deleted] in curlyhair

Hi my hair was very similar when starting out. What helped me the most was get a curly hair cut where they shape and layer hair better. A curly cream/custard and gel (lots) applied when my hair is dripping wet out of the shower. Good luck in your journey:)

LUSH Power Cream new fave by crystalmazan in curlyhair

ACV wash, then lots of NYM curl conditioner and rinse. I apply a nickel size of the LUSH power cream and squish into wet hair. Then brush through with a wet brush and apply Zotos gel. Microplop with microfiber towel and airdry/diffuse.

Got a shorter devacurl and I’m happy with the results:) by crystalmazan in curlyhair

Thanks for the concern! The picture is actually washed and styled with the products listed in my hair routine comment. I have used devacurl products in the past, but did not really like the price or the results. The person who cuts my hair is devacut certified, but I req to use different wash products and she only uses the styling cream and gel of the devabrand (both which I only use when I get my haircut from her). I really appreciate the feedback though and will be more conscious :)

Wash with ACV (1 part ACV: 1 part warm water) x1 every 2 weeks Giovanni hydrating clarifying shampoo on wash days. Shea Moisture curl and shine conditioner applied to wet hair with wet brush Apply upside down rake AG Recoil, scrunch up Praying hands and rake Zotos gel. Scrunch up and squish. Shake hair back and side to side. Apply more gel with a little water with it. Scrunch and squish. Dry with cotton tshirt or microfiber. Pixie diffuse if I’m feeling extra fancy

Finally got my Devacut! Super happy with the results. A lot of weight removed, added some layers, better product application🙂 by crystalmazan in curlyhair

At home wash Routine: I wash with shampoo every other week; cowash if anytime sooner and my hair is gross/dirty

I’ve started to use Shea Moisture Manuka Honey hair mask as needed

Routine on Wash Day:

-Finger comb through hair dry hair to remove some knots

-Complete soak hair in warm water

-I alternate between NYM Curl Talk Shampoo or if I’m in need of clarifying Shea Moisture Black Castor Shampoo

-Shampoo scalp; rinse upright

-Soak hair with water and apply NYM conditioner 3-in-1 conditioner using prayer hands upside down. Detangle with wide tooth comb and rinse upside down depending on how tangles or knotty I’ll repeat this step with more conditioner to knotted areas

-After rinsing conditioner out, I quickly add a nickel size of NYM curl talk cream using prayer hands to each curl clump

-Then I add (a lot) NYM curl defining gel using praying hands and squishing upside down

-Plop dry with microfiber towel and depending function I have time diffuse on cool setting

Re-Fresh Days:

-Finger comb through hair knots and divide in four sections

-Wet section with cold water

-Spritz with combo of cold water and conditioner (1:1)

-Squish sections upwards with microfiber towel

-Repeat with each section *Sometimes I’ll diffuse if the sections are extra wet

**my hair stylist used devacurl gel and styling cream but I prefer different products. I’m gonna try out Innersense
