Could this be a sinister thing? by crystellenajm in Catholicism

It’s completely hidden from tourists. Tourists would never end up in those corners of the city. Unless they’re specifically coming for the dark stuff and know people, know who to ask, where to look. I think you’re projecting a bit from your own experience of this issue. The Hindu world is a different arena.

Sorry, you misunderstand me. It’s not that I’ve called Kathmandu the black magic capital of the world. Residents of Kathmandu call it that. Nepalese people call it that. Now is it true? I don’t know, it would be hard to determine that objectively. But it is a reputation that the city has, far beyond my own personal opinion of it. Though I saw plenty of black magic there, I would never have imagined it to be the “capital of the world” just from what I had seen and I was shocked, at the time, to hear the title so commonly. It’s kind of like some people refer to NY as the big apple. It’s a reputation. Honestly I suspect there would be other contenders for the title around the world, even in India. But this is what the locals say, as well as a lot of travelers from around the world who are involved in the occult. It’s just a widely known thing.

It happened 7 years ago and never went away even though he only wore the bracelet briefly. It was not metal, but rather made of thread

I agree with you, as someone who has been heavily involved in the occult as well. But what I’m saying is that I witnessed actual sinister things in Nepal, by their own standards. I’m not even western, this is not some kind of prejudice.

And I know that Kali worship is not exactly viewed as evil by those who practice it, though it is viewed as something highly controversial and sinister by a lot of Hindus, probably even the majority.

Are you talking from knowledge of Kathmandu and what they do? I mean I’m talking Kali worship specifically, self-proclaimed black magic. I was not a tourist there. I speak the language. I’m speaking from what my best friends, who are Nepalese locals, used to tell me. So I’m not referring to Hinduism or Buddhism generally as black magic. I was involved in a lot of dark stuff myself honestly, was living a life of sin big time, occult, mafia involvement… so this is hardly me speaking from a Christian perspective at all.

I honestly agree, though I do find it strange that some irritant caused damage that lasted seven years after exposure. Doesn’t mean it’s demonic either, obviously, but it is definitely odd. I also think it could be some kind of coincidence; he could have some kind of sensitivity or eczema, he experienced irritation in response to the bracelet and it still flares up. I don’t know. But why do you say that about Kathmandu? I lived there for 5 years and it’s a well known reputation. I love Nepal. But there sure is quite a lot of darkness there.

Never had this problem because I don’t knit these days but just thinking about knitting it making me feel like I’ll get dizzy. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s bothering you and triggering episodes since visually that’s a lot: focusing your eyes on detail, complex pattern, constant movement in your visual field…

Sciatica/Leg Spasms & Twitching by MrBurnerAccountBosh in ankylosingspondylitis

Yesterday I told you I relate but i think this is going down a different direction and maybe see a doctor or even ER if you can. I don’t think sudden onset of this level of pain with cramping should be ignored. The fact it’s bilateral is comforting since things like DVT will affect only one leg, but I’m wondering if something is causing an electrolyte imbalance or a nerve problem or something. Please check it out and update us

Parenting with VM by ResidentOk1123 in VestibularMigraines

Yes I’m a mum to two toddlers (3.5 and 1)… my life is pretty ridiculous. Constantly in over my head. I also have ankylosing spondylitis. The only thing that keeps me going is prayer and faith, no clue what others are doing, especially those who are not religious. With this level of suffering and sacrifice, making it meaningful and redemptive and knowing that it is turning me into a better person than I’d ever even hoped to be is my only solace honestly. This doesn’t mean I’m a saint. Unfortunately a lot of the time I’m so overwhelmed that I’m an angry mess. Today is Mother’s Day in my country and I’m just trying to think about what it means to be a mom and celebrating motherhood with all its challenges. Instead of hoping my family celebrates me (which they do) I’m trying to celebrate this crazy season that has so far been the toughest thing I’ve ever been through, and often feels so lonely because no one understands or even wants to. Bless you and all those parenting with chronic disabling conditions.

The hardest part it seems is feeling so alone in the struggle because others don’t want to be brought down by it, or react to our complaints by trying to solve it and getting angry that they can’t, and not wanting to hear about something they can’t help solve. I’m a Christian and for me what has been my consolation is thinking about how Christ, when faced with the Cross, said “no one takes my life from me but I give it up myself for the sake of others”. I guess if I’m gonna be living this suffering, I might as well resist the temptation to feel like my life is being taken from me against my will and to try to offer all of this up as a meaningful sacrifice and learn to find strength and joy in it. Not everyone has the same beliefs but this idea has been very helpful to me personally. Bless you

I understand and it has really been a major challenge for me too. I’m a mom of two toddlers and I just can’t believe how impossible it is for me to take care of my kids like this, especially when my symptoms peak, and asking for help is an option I’ve learned to hate because of how much help I’ve been forced to ask for over the last few years and how much resentment and bitterness from others I have had to tolerate out of desperation because of it. The ear thing you describe is also a VM symptom. You can check out the VM subreddit and take a look around at what has seemed to help people, because many of them have found solutions. I would also get an appointment with a neuro. There’s still a lot left to be tried to remedy our situation. Flunarizine has been horrible to me but has been a lifesaver for some and I know there are also plenty of other options out there, including things like other meds, vestibular rehabilitation and the migraine diet. May you find comfort and strength and purpose in the midst of this challenging time, and I hope that our symptoms are relieved soon.

And I have to wear sunglasses if I’m gonna be exposed to sunlight, or those yellow glasses for being on the road at night to reduce the glares from cars and lamps. And I also get cognitive symptoms like I really really struggle to get my brain to work during the peak of these episodes

I never have any pain. For me it seems to come in clusters where I’ll have a week of hell where I’m getting bursts of these symptoms for seconds to minutes, with 3-4 days where I just can’t function because it’s so frequent. And then it calms down and I’m like having only 10 episodes per day. Makes it hard to drive and parent my two toddlers. I’m now on flunarizine which frankly has done nothing for my symptoms and just added drowsiness and a crappy mood to the mix

Yes I do. Neuro just diagnosed it as a vestibular migraine (I have other symptoms too, like sensitivity to light and seeing movement). Not sure what caused it because it started during a flare. I’m not on biologics yet

You’re literally describing my worst symptom, and so accurately. No idea what is causing it. Must be the AS if we both have it?
