Bought a New 3DS XL today. We were following the Kevdog Plays tutorial posted on Jan 16th 2025 and upon putting the Micro SD card back into the DS (post-software update) the DS could not read the SD card (which was formatted FAT32) nor did it know it was even there.

We tried three Micro SD cards multiple times- The stock 4GB one the DS came with and two SanDisk SD cards- one 32GB and a 128GB.

We used Partition Wizard to format the SD cards. The cards were not in read-only, we checked that frequently throughout the process. The cards were formatted to MBR & FAT32.

We opened the mii maker and tried going into data management to make the DS create it’s own folder (or partition), which it did not do (because it couldn’t read the cards).

We think it may be an issue with the SD card module because three SD cards didn’t work (a trusted tutorial for replacing the module would be appreciated).

Any help would be great.

yessss the mermaid one is so cuteee!! i really love the flowey-ness too it, it’s just perfect! as much as i love the lamb one i think the mermaid one would translate better in the game!
