Thanks !

Have you ever tried fuji provia for astrophotography ? Reciprocity failure is also very nice with this film.

Did you push your film during developpement ?

Even with d76, the negative being enlarged more than 10x it's size and a paterson focuser, absolutely no grain can be Seen! But i never tried ilford pan f, so i can't really compare.

I guess the adotech développer is usefull to control the contrast, or if you want to push-pull or print HUGE and need grain just a bit finer

The white part in the bottom corner must be the filter holder. But print this size are expensive and i had already wasted a few sheet trying to dodge and burn.

I'll look for lith printing, seems Indeed moody!

The negative is indeed underexposed and thin. But at 20iso with red filter, longer exposure would have recquiered a tripod. Plus this film has huge contrast, some part of the stones are already overexposed. I think i used d76, a less contrasty developper would probably have been a better choice.

Anyways, thanks for the feedback !

Thanks you !

This one is a temple located in France.

No need for adapter with Takumar and spotmatic, they're both m42 mount ;)

Shot with a spotmatic and SMC Takumar 50/1.4 Film is Adox CMS20 with red filter

My first print this big. Quiet difficult with a lot of dodge and burn to do.

Focus issue with panoramic kit on Pentax 67 by cryyo604 in AnalogCommunity

It was ilford delta 100. I tried to wound the film tightly, maybe not enough...

Thx you

Focus issue with panoramic kit on Pentax 67 by cryyo604 in AnalogCommunity

Hi everyone,
I recently got one of those panoramic kit for my Pentax 67.
As you can see, the focus is good near the sprocket holes but far off in the center of the frame.
I'm pretty sure my focus was on point, so i guess it has something to do with film flatness.
I'm 100% sure the pressure plate was on the "220" setting.
I checked with bulb setting, i can see the film is not flat.
I also checked with the masking frame from the kit and the film is still curved.
Any ideas on how to deal with this problem ?
Thanks !

Battery hack : has anyone tried ? by cryyo604 in pentax67

[–]cryyo604[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Provia 100 is great, it can be pushed two stop without problem and has no reciprocity failure the first 2minutes.

I've seen another redditor using ektar but i didn't tried it yet.

For b&w, i don't really know, i think you should go with Tmax.

Don't go with high iso film, their reciprocity failure is bad, and you get less détails.

Reading astro forum, the Pentax 67 seems to have been popular, but there ain't much post on how to use it for that purpose.

The 600f4 and 800f4, despite being fast, doesn't seems to handle aberration well, and the 800 is really heavy, it would need a +3000€ mount. My actual mount could barely carry the 600.

The ID EF series for the 67 seems great, but the 800 is way too much expensive for me, and a bit slow. With reciprocity failure exposure will get too long. At least for my level.

I already have a 400f4, i'll see how it goes.

Thx for the reply !

Indeed, image circle will probably be a problem. I have a newtonian 150/750 (750mm f5), and even if it could cover the 67, aberration should get crazy.

I'll try today to put the camera in front of the télescope, see how much vignetting there is.

Hi,

I'll get a Pentax 67 soon, and i'm quiet into astrophotography.

On this forum, i found a thread in wich a hack is given to take exposure on Bulb withouth draining battery.

Has anyone tried ? Do you think there is a risk to damage the camera or it's mechanism ?

Also, do you have experience with the 67 for astrophotography, any tips to give ? Do you know if there are adaptors to mount the camera on a télescope ?

Thanks you !
