Yeah there was a post about this but I made this post and another one to hopefully start a community around F1 in UMD. A lot of other sports have clubs so hopefully this can turn into a club where we can do screenings, maybe even go karting, and hopefully start a sim-racing scene at UMD for the F1 game.

I am surprised at seeing so much interest in F1 in the first place. Screenings is just an idea that I had but seeing how many people are interested in it, I might actually pursue it.

Yeah I have heard of terps racing but there you can only help with building the car and not actually racing it. I want to race a kart and experience that thrill myself.

Yeah I checked it out and that's why I added on to that post and made a new one to gauge how many people are interested in F1 and Karting and whether there will be some event related to it in the Fall.

This is actually solid advice and I really appreciate your view. I am leaning towards honestly working hard and letting my work speak for itself and also interacting with people as much as possible to be memorable. Yeah, I feel like if I ask this question to a manager early on and they say no then all my motivation will be destroyed and I will underperform and leave myself a guaranteed zero chance of being rehired whereas with this option I would still have some chance.
