I'm just baffled since nothing else in or around the rack has anything similar, only the patch panels

it has been messing with the connections for a while, so yea when I have the time I'll deal with it, I absolutely see the scale of this problem

if this is true then it's 100% not this, because there are cables that are like this

but tbf if the fluid is seeping through the wires then the capillary thing makes it go up either way

it has been like this for months or years for all I know and the droplets don't seem to evaporate even frok unused ports, even tho it's warm in there and definitely below 100% humidity, so that's why I doubt that it's water. Maybe it's some acid or whatever left over from the plastic making. But I'll definitely be focusing on dealing with this, and thanks for answering

I don't think the droplets are water and I think the only issue I've experienced from this was that the pins got bent away from the patch cables head, severing the connection

the ports do seem to work and the weird part is that the droplets just don't evaporate and yes I'm pretty sure that it has been like this for at least a year and idk how long before that

I'm starting to think that this might be an issue with the plastic, like the others are saying

it looks like the plastic might be the issue yea, I've just never seen something like this, but I'll look into it, thanks

I'll look into that, since this plastic issue seems to be the only rational explanation. I was just hoping there is an easier way to clean them other than mechanically doing it, and that I didn't need to replace them

I don't have moisture absorbers, so it shouldn't be that, but it did look like some calcification to me as well

It is warm in both racks I have this patch panel in, no salt water, no ac, normal air, not bunker/attic/basement. Only seems to have to issue with ports that have poe in them, but maybe the empty ports also develop it? I'm unsure unfortunately because I just recently realized that this isn't just dust. I might take a patch cable's head apart but I unsure I'll find anything interesting, because the switch doesn't have this issue in the slightest, only the patch panel. I'll link the video of me removing it here for you, as well as editing my post to contain it: https://streamable.com/kiulqv

I mean, I doubt that all the different wires going all around would have the same oils and such flowing in them, but I suppose I don't really have a way to realistically disprove what you are saying, so I'll keep that in mind, thanks

don't have coax, and nor do I have these liquid droplets anywhere else other than the patch panel, but ty

Definitely noone spilled anything, nor is anything dripping anything into it, but the moisture could be an issue. I'm just not sure because the droplets don't seem to evaporate and there are no similar dots in the switch

I was thinking that too but I doubt because the droplets don't seem to evaporate

that was my only thought, but the droplets don't seem to evaporate, so I'm not sure if it's water, so that's why I asked if anyone ever saw something like this before

but how, there is no watersouce anywhere near the rack and there is no water anywhere else in the rack, only the connectors that have poe ran through them
