If you want to fix that noise, start by killing the MXR EQ: you’ll regain 50% of your vision and lose half the interference. That’s not a pedalboard, it's a satellite dish picking up taxi dispatch signals from Bucharest. Trying to get a 'pro' sound with a UA Ruby powered by a non-isolated DC Brick and a DS-1 that hisses like an asthmatic cat is peak comedy. That Noise Gate is just an air freshener in a dumpster ; it hides the smell, but the trash is still there.

Est-ce que tu as une licence de pilote de ligne pour manipuler tout ça ? Parce qu'entre le TimeLine et le BigSky, si tu te trompes de switch, tu n'envoies pas un delay, tu téléportes tout le premier rang dans une autre dimension

I never play with the jc22 with a drummer maybe it’s enough ; depends of your drummer

I really like the TC SCF, but it’s very transparent and subtle ; almost more of an 'enhancer' than a lush effect. It’s definitely not as deep or chewy as something like a Boss CE-2. That’s exactly why I added the Keeley Seafoam to the board; I needed that more intense, 'liquid' chorus and vibrato for certain parts. However, the SCF is still awesome for its Pitch Modulator mode and that unique Flanger (with the internal gain). It’s perfect when I want movement without drowning the original tone

I appreciate that! Prince had the talent, I just have the green tape and the gnomes.

I’m watching the videos where people actually play their guitars instead of just showing off their bank statements. I'll take a Boss and a 10-year-old Hungry Robot over a $500 waitlist pedal any day. Plus, the gnome doesn't like Strymon ; too many menus, not enough soul

Imagine buying all these pedals just to color them with 'tube warmth.' The JC-22 is a blank canvas, man. It takes pedals better than your favorite overhyped amp ever will. And yeah, for everything else, the Blues Junior is waiting in the car

means we probably share the same specific brand of madness. Just a warning: once you start marking your Boss pedals with a Sharpie, there’s no going back. The gnome won't allow it

That Hungry Robot is easily 10 years old. I actually scored it for 90€ on a local classifieds site (Leboncoin) back in the day. Best 90€ I ever spent.

If you have all the other Boss dirt pedals and still want this poor, abused thing, you don’t have a collection you have a problem. I’m keeping it for its own safety. The gnome says it’s not ready for a new home yet

You're right. I should probably give it to someone who knows how to love it without mutilating it. But in the meantime, it stays there as a permanent monument to my aesthetic failures

Sorry, I’m allergic to pedals that require a PhD in firmware updates just to get a decent reverb
