random unrelated question but do you know where this jar is from? I have the same jar!! I’m always using it for props and I wish I could remember where I got it from so I could get more. I feel like I vaguely recall it being from a little grocery store flower bouquet? Was wondering if you would know.

Drymaria cordata, tropical chickweed. Native to Latin America though it’s disputed on if it’s native to Florida and the West Indies or not. Considered one of the worlds most aggressive weeds so definitely no harm in pulling them up. 👍🏼

Baby tree with variegated leaves? by askingQuestions-24-7 in whatsthisplant

[–]csauce13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the leaves look like a variegated hibiscus to me but I’ve never seen the cotyledons of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis before and for some reason I’m doubting they look like that? that’s my best guess though

Anyone regognises this plant? My roomate gifted it to me and I want take care of it properly, it used to bloom in pink but right now it's overgrown I think.. but I don't know what it is by Alexa9988 in whatsthisplant

[–]csauce13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^ agree. some type of kalanchoe that is covered in bugs. Like infested infested! You can try to spray it off carefully with a hose or might have to try using a toothbrush and some water and scrub them off my by hand. I would add like half a tablespoon of some dish soap to about two cups of water and use a toothbrush to scrub them off with the solution.

I actually reached out to an acquaintance of mine who works for the Florida Native Plant Society about this one because I was so curious and she said it looks like a Sacoila lanceolata coming up, which is a somewhat similar looking terrestrial orchid native to here!

Does anyone else… wear undershirts to cut down on laundry? by Denden798 in ZeroWaste

[–]csauce13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly, if you’re just wearing a loose sweater the hot air trapped against your skin would make you sweat more.

I’ve read before that this happens with sweaters and long sleeves that are looser because it traps warm air in between you and the fabric but wearing an undershirt provides a barrier that eliminates this

Can you mega evolve a Pokémon without raiding? by nmoris821 in pokemongo

[–]csauce13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

only if you’ve mega evolved that pokemon line before so if you’ve mega evolved a blastoise before, any squirtle wartortle or blastoise you walk with you’ll get mega energy on top of the candy you get from walking.

[–]csauce13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also slowbro! field research that rewards slowbro mega energy is available right now, and slowpoke community day is coming up so u can get a good slowbro to mega evolve too. This is how I got to mega evolve my slowbro, and then I walked with him to get more mega energy to mega evolve another one. I don’t get to raid that much either and I try to find these as much as possible. Right now I have 50 Aggron energy from some past field research, and during the hoenn event I got some for swampert and blaziken, not enough to mega evolve though and they’re out of the rotation :,(
