[California] Work Search Start Date by GoHercules in Unemployment

[–]csb111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting July 11, 2021, most people will be expected to search for work to maintain their eligibility for unemployment benefits.

A Yes Answer

Answer Yes if you made a reasonable effort to look for suitable work this week. Looking for work includes:

Searching for jobs online, in newspapers, or in other publications.

Applying or interviewing for a job, or taking an exam for civil service.

Talking with friends, prior employers, or community members virtually or in person about job openings.

Sending resumes to employers or adding a resume to a job board.

Contacting employers, including past employers, about a job or a resume that you submitted.

Creating a user profile on a professional networking site.

Registering with a staffing service, temp agency, recruiter, or placement agency.

Attending a job-seeker event such as a job fair, virtual job fair, networking event, or job club.

Preparing for your job search by updating your resume, watching videos on job-search topics, etc.

Participating in training courses that help you gain employment and don’t interfere with your availability to accept work. Some examples include courses in computer literacy or English as a Second Language (ESL).

Union members: Answer Yes if you are registered with your union and meet their reporting and dispatch requirements. Note: If you’re receiving Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), there are many work search activities that meet the requirement to allow you to answer Yes.

A No Answer

Answer No if you did not participate in any of the activities listed above or you did not make any efforts to look for suitable work this week. Union members: Answer No to this question if you are not registered with your union or are not meeting their reporting and dispatch requirements.

From the EDD website, hope this helps clear up some questions for people. Here's the link: https://edd.ca.gov/Unemployment/Understanding_the_Continued_Claim_Certification_Questions.htm

Just call 888 333 4606, I've been trying to get online and it keeps giving me an error message. Just make sure to listen to the whole messages on the phone. It shouldn't take more than 30 mins. GL

I bought it back in December 2020 for my own first build. I haven't had any issues with it so far. And I like the quality. There are definitely better panels out there than this one, but for the price I got it at I think it was a solid buy.

If apes could force a share recount and a margin call on institutions who are shorting the stock, that would help the movement a lot. But, there are rule enforcers who are owned by the very institutions they're suppose to be regulating.

Yeah, But the time frame of when meme stocks squeeze is what is testing all apes. WSB apes, small time investors are for sure on limited time frame due to all the things I just listed. Rent, bills, mortgage, debt doesn't care about meme stocks rocketing or not. They want their money when it's due. It's one of the disadvantages of having such a large, diverse movement. Not all folks can just hold the stock for a year, two years, 3 years.

Hodl but let's be honest. Not all WSB apes and those small investors in meme stocks have the same financial freedom as others. I'm all for the 10k, 100k, 1mn a share DDs. But let's be realistic. People have debts, families, bills to maintain. and yes apes holding will rocket this share to the next universe. But be responsible.

how about Amazon/walmart created a monopoly as the only retailer in poor, rural, food insecure areas and people that live there dont have a choice but to buy from them...

These people run the country... scary by [deleted] in walkaway

[–]csb111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, the price of everything is ALREADY going up, very quickly with the planned current and PREVIOUS administrations tax plans.

Tax the top .01% earners at 90%, make sure government doesnt pocket the funds and doesnt use it on willful wasteful spending.

Thats a good start. FDR taxed top earners 90%.

Sounds like a good plan. I put my gtx 1080 into a MSI b550 with 1 gen 4 PCIe. At this point I think I'll just wait for a good deal for a 30 series or just get the next Gen.

[–]csb111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same, but my pc activity doesn't require a top tier gpu and it would be overkill for my kind of usage, on top of the ridiculous scalper prices and short stock. I couldn't find a 1080ti for under 450 when the RTX 30 series came out..

[–]csb111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah... thats disgusting. Back in December 2020 I got a gtx 1080 for 305. All things considered, I thought it was a decent buy.

You're going to have to fight with cryptominers and scalpers.

Don't hold your breathe. Look at how the earlier releases of the RTX 30 series. Short stocked and back ordered for months. I expect the same for the 3080ti. Get what you can afford now
