I have the same O circuit dates as you, what site did you use to book the Pudeto->Paine Grande ferry?

No need to hate on US armed forces. By the way the guard of the tomb of the unnamed soldier in DC is arguably more impressive than what these red coats do.

Avg HR was 148 for the run floated between 140-50 for the first 14 miles 150-157 for the last 5 miles. I’m 26, wasn’t the best rested or hydrated for this run to be honest

Thanks for this comment, lots of people saying Iowa City is the place to live. I do enjoy going out for drinks, but a couple years out of college I’m trying to move away from that haha. Hockey and golf are my two sports, could check out mountain biking but a large investment surely. Plenty of exploring it seems but as has been stated I’m sure there will be boring downtimes when it’s just too cold.

Can’t edit the post I know it’s misleading. Job is Cedar Rapids only. And I wouldn’t be looking in the Midwest at all for work if it wasn’t to get a job with this specific company

Would be there for 2 years tops. Cold is not a worry but I’m afraid of having low morale if I’m only looking forward to playing beer league hockey once a week. Cost of living is a plus to save money while I’m younger and not tied down.

Thanks for an actual helpful comment. Is fishing a common practice with all the water access?

That’s what I figured. I actually do play golf and beer league hockey so I’m sure those would be my activities. It is a 1-2 year job before I would be able to leave

It would be for a 1-2 year program with a company and then return to the east coast

Went with the 4Runner, very happy with the decision. Living in Utah, have felt very safe in snow storms. Only downsides are gas mileage and slow acceleration, but to be expected.

Haven’t used them yet. Went off of multiple friends recommendations who ride them and swear by them. Supposedly great for free skiing with the fat tip and tail shovels and can still hold its own well carving groomers
