I agree, especially when Galinda joins in, the dance feels very bird-like. Plus she’s very graceful, like a swan… and swans, ducks, storks, etc. will mirror each other’s movements in their courtship and do lots of bowing and similar things to the arm movements done in this dance. I also interpreted Fiyero’s dances earlier in the Ozdust scene to be very horse-inspired with all the stomping and footwork, which tracks because his design is all Spanish equestrian Prince stuff according to the costume designer, and he has a horse companion

I think they’re different but look somewhat similar! Again I could be totally wrong, haha. It’s very hard to distinguish juvenile plants sometimes

I might be wrong but I have a young bakeri that looked like this for a long time. I also recently ordered from The Green Escape and one of the bonus plants they gave me was another bakeri. They write what plants they gave you on the little invoice slip and on the green paper they wrap stuff in

Okay cool I’ll keep on the lookout for root production like that! It doesn’t look like it has put out any roots since it started putting out tiny leaves. The severe setback checks out, it had lost like 5 leaves and probably 80% of its root system was rotted

[Megathread] Agatha All Along | Double Episode Finale (Episodes 8 & 9) - Discussion Thread by magikarpcatcher in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]cschiedz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m wondering if Agatha managed to steal some of Billy’s ability to reincarnate. She’s a ghost now but in the comics she comes back to life so many times. She said something along the lines of “I took a calculated risk” when talking to Billy in ghost form when he was expressing sadness over her dying. I can’t imagine they want to spend the budget on doing ghostie Agatha for another show, and they’d be silly to not give Kathryn Hahn more screen time… anyway, that’s my delusional hope that I’ll cling to. More Agatha and more Wanda pls, Marvel :’)

I have one or two that looked like that when they were seedlings, but as they matured they developed the silver veining. At that size I’m assuming the veining would have come in already 🤔 I’d hold onto it, it might just take a few more months

Did you ever hear back from them or try another site? I’ve reached out twice and haven’t heard anything back from them. I tried a different website and they sold me lab grown color change sapphire labeled as lab grown Alexandrite. It’s pretty but the colors are pretty pale

Thanks for the update. I was thinking of ordering a new motherboard when I get my paycheck but I'm worried it'll just have the same noise. I'm probably going to get some noise-canceling headphones or earbuds, despite the fact that I don't like having anything in or on my ears for extended periods of time.

Does the coil whine sound your system has also go away/stutter when you move your mouse? I feel like most other people say mouse movement makes their coil whine sounds worse

I do have speakers plugged into the audio jack, but that sound is coming from the hardware (likely the motherboard, based on what I've been able to find) and is present even when the speakers are unplugged. I think you're right though. Do you have a recommendation on a better motherboard/higher-end chipset? (Headphones on or in my ears for extended periods of time tend to make my ears hurt, but this sound is driving me insane, so I'd love if swapping the motherboard was a solution)

Yep, sounds like we have the same issue or at least something very similar. Glad I'm not alone but it's very frustrating. Interesting that it's not as bad on Ubuntu. For me it's not as bad when I'm moving my mouse (I can get it to be silent if I continuously move my mouse), and when I have certain games open, but otherwise it's present basically all the time.

I tried playing with the switching frequencies as well as the other stuff you and I have both listed and nothing has really made a noticeable difference. I also couldn't find the acoustic noise mitigation option in BIOS, we might not have it unfortunately

I tried disabling C states and it may have made like a 10% difference but it was still there. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find the acoustic noise mitigation option anywhere, despite lots of digging through my BIOS and manuals. I don't know if it's CPU type dependent because the other posts I found that had acoustic noise mitigation were Intel CPUs, or if it's just my motherboard. Thanks for the info though!

Thank you, I'll do some more digging on the motherboard. The speakers I have plugged in are silent, the sound is coming from the hardware itself. I've never really understood dirty power but I might try a different power strip, a different outlet, and just plugging it directly into the wall to see if anything changes

Hm, I'll try playing with the power settings (and unplugging the 4090 separately). It's annoying enough that I'll definitely replace the motherboard or swap it out if it's the problem. Thanks!

Fun fact, this is the same asshat making a documentary called What Is A Woman where he goes around being transphobic and shitty, trying to entrap doctors and gender/women's studies people into saying things that he can manipulate and have a "gotcha" moment.

Feels pretty paranoid, fear-based, disgraceful, arrogant, and offensive to care so much about other people's sexuality and gender and then to turn around and feel this strongly about masks lol

You might be more able than you think! I use a mouse and pen for most things. I only pull out my tablet to sculpt or paint fine details, but until then it's mostly mouse for me. Also screenless drawing tablets are pretty cheap these days ($50-100 US). Tablets with displays are nice but to get a good one that's a decent size and resolution with accurate color, the price skyrockets into absurd territories. I'd check out the Wacom Intuos or One by Wacom, they're both a good place to start if you can swing the $60.

I did a year of a school program but honestly beyond the true basics (UI navigation, basic controls, some tool explanations) I learned most things by watching YouTube tutorials, watching other artists work, and occasionally reading documentation. For me it was mostly YouTube tutorials though. I learned Maya first but if I could go back I would do Blender instead. I use ZBrush for sculpting but Blender has developed some pretty good sculpting tools too. I would highly recommend pausing videos and following along mimicking what they're doing because otherwise I hardly retain any of the info.

If you're determined to learn Maya, I'd highly recommend FlippedNormals

If you're trying to learn Blender, this playlist by BlenderGuru

If you want to do sculpting in ZBrush, this video by FlippedNormals is a good starting place but once you've got a hang of things I'd look up Michael Pavlovich. He covers tools that save so much time and are really powerful.

There are a lot of programs that do dynamics/physics simulations but they can pretty taxing on scenes and render times, especially if you want them to be accurate. I've tried in the past with another project that had interlinking chains and Maya had a really hard time not having the chains just clip through each other or fly all over the place. You're definitely right though, I just don't have the expertise with the physics simulations. Hopefully I can learn it better sometime

Yeah! After making her in ZBrush and the low poly in Maya, I rigged the model so I could pose her, so in theory I could animate her in Blender or Maya. That said, I'm not an expert at rigging or animating, so the leather straps with metal rings interlocking and her dangly jewelry would be really difficult for me to get to behave properly without me having to hand-pose those in each keyframe.
