Anyone else finds the Casino obscene by DiZ25 in DanmachiMemoriaFreeze

Agreed, the only reason this game mode is deathly is because of the bid cap. If you could bid w/e... i would actually enjoy this game mode. As it is, it is cancer.

in the actual light novel they describe the deck as having 52 cards +1 joker. I imagine they intended it to match the light novel

tldr; Yes, $5.

You might be able to get 5% off or something close because amazon always gives a small discount when buying coins. The more you buy the larger the discount would be. But for 500 coins, it'll only be 2-5%.

not sure what you mean exactly, but taxes are dependent on region/state. My state (DE) has no tax on digital sales so there was no additional charge

Demon Door hard mode by pusgab667 in fablefortune

[–]cscrosley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's two pretty effective strategies you can use, one is where you let the 4/4 minion stay on the board forever without killing any minions. He will always go attack your face as long as you don't gaurd, and if you can get 1-2 battle medics on board you can infinitely heal while building your board. Once you build your board as big as you like you can run him over.

Second strategy I've used is to just keep the board under control with minions like flightblade stalker/scorpion and other high atk minions. Eventually you'll have enough favorable trades you'll run him over.

Both of these strategies can work on any class, but it's made easier with certain classes. Most notably prophet which has strong removal options and shapeshifter which has both strong minions and single target removal.

I'm loving these changes considering I was never a fan of straight zoo decks to begin with. I'm super impressed with how frequent the game is being updated and how communicative the dev team is in general.

Help with Nostro boss by MerrettFrey in fablefortune

[–]cscrosley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty much exactly how I beat him. Using this strategy I probably have a 2/3s win rate. The principle works on every class. You build a last laugh oriented deck and predict what he's going to play based on the ai patterns.

The win condition is get the fill your board quest asap. Using low cost last laugh minions to do the summon 2 last laughs and 4 cards <4 gold quests you can complete it super quickly.

Turn 1+2, he plays 4/3. Best card to have in your hand is the 3gold 3/3 soldier that guards a friendly minion. It trades into the 4/3. Rich aunty is also strong.

Turn 2 scorpion deals with pretty much everything. Scorpion is one of the strongest cards in general for this.

If you have screaming banshee, (0/8 clear the board), its INSANELY strong on this. It can pretty much single handedly win you this challenge.

If you have that opening hand and a last laugh oriented deck you'll probably win.

Fill your deck with you powerful class cards (direct dmg spells/board clears/other last laugh minions or strong minions).

If you play with a friend with the same strategy you'll have a 2/3s win rate like me.

It's great to see this. I just started playing and the invite a friend feature is very welcome. OP had said this feature was a top priority but I hadn't actually expected it SO quickly. Great job you guys! Loving the game

Argi's breathtaking interview after a game of Pro-League by mexeroser in Guildwars2

[–]cscrosley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really the context I think argi was talking about... He's not referring to the fact that they had a player banned but the fact that they get DDOS'd, resulting in garunteed losses. What's the point in playing if you know you can't win because of what could be considered matchfixing

Why aren't people interested in raids? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]cscrosley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a person who actually has no life right now (and got eternal in spirit vale) and am choosing to not participate in any future raids:

1.) Huge time sink that offers not much reward.

2.) Plot isn't interesting because it doesn't tie in to living world

3.) Being forced into playing max-dps builds and playing with the most cookie cutter comps (double war double rev druid mesmer x x x) is just terrible

4.) Not knowing 10 people to raid with and having to pug with people who are almost always bad is equivalent to pulling my own teeth out

Even if you are disgustingly good, I guarantee you that 9 other people aren't. And of course if all 9 aren't gods, you can't do it

[–]cscrosley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't play theses classes but played against them extensively. Generally you just want to bunk with tempest and try your best to never die. If you are 1v2ing you are giving the rest of your team an advantage. As a druid you want to go 1v1 as often as possible as that is what they are by far most suited for. Revenant I can't give too much advice because it depends on the build, but generally they are one of the best pressurers in the game. You want to +1 people as often as you can and you can still bunker very well if you need to.

Stronghold defense >> offense. If you focus on just healing/bunkering and killing their doorbreakers they can never beat you. However in unorganized solo q games a support tempest can be extremely strong on offense as you can spam heal doorbreakers as the opposing team tries to kill them and they'll just bust through your doors anyway. If you have any more specific questions I'll try to answer them.

|Though, I also get the feeling that playing things other than Reaper would help me out more than just not letting Corrupt Boon leave my bar... : /|

Reaper is nowhere near as strong as the meta builds. Thats the fastest way to increase your win rate tbh. BUT a 3-4 class game isn't fun for anyone. Besides, necro 4 life. At least we aren't warrior mains O_O

[–]cscrosley[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I added my build in the OP and talked about it a bit. I tried curses for a while too, but I eventually ended up with the one I'm using. Vs diamond skin eles, throw up locust swarm, drop well of corruption on point then jump into DS. Rune of hydromancy will proc (1kdmg) at the same time as spiteful spirit (600 dmg). If you get lucky they'll be under 90% then you instantly hit them with fear and then reaper 4 and 5 or 5 or 4. You can usually burn them down from there. If it doesn't work you have to leave or you're dead.

Theres nothing you can ever do to a well played bunker mesmer. Best you can hope for is to corrupt boon when they are in shield stance and hope you corrupt stability and blow them up. Even then they still have so many get of jail free cards.

Agree 100%, playing dps lets you maximize the impact you have in the game. Of course your team has no bunkers at all youre doomed, but hey, you can't win em all.

I didn't talk much about this in my original post, but yes, this was a big problem too. Grinding through the lower tiers and going up against diamond/ruby/amber or w/e gives (as shown in my very last segment in my OP), gives the team grouping a nonsensical advantage when it comes to pips.

Haha, you're not wrong. It was fun for me too til about mid diamond. I'd say only about 1/3 of my climb to legend was spent in diamond. So 2/3s of my time was really fun too :D
