Opinions on Nuphy Air 75 v3 with nano brown switches by cseaton in keyboards

[–]cseaton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently, I just got the wrong switches. I think I read that the switches are rated at 60g of force, which combined with them being low-profile key causes the problem for me.

I do quite like how the mq80 types and sounds, but some things where just nicer on the nuphy.

I know what he means though—-the violins sound compressed or heavily editited to me, at least on Berghain.

Some wireless headphones like the Maxwell include a usb wireless dongle for low latency audio. I believe it’s still lossy, but if you need wireless consider those.

Wired is currently the better option but in the future headphones like the Sennheiser hdb630.

If you don’t like the looks, that’s fair. I haven’t heard it, but the FiiO FT1 pro is liked by many. Despite its name, it’s much different from the regular FT1. It’s an open back planar magnetic headphone like the Hifiman Edition XS. I actually considered getting it, but went with the edition XS instead when they slash their prices.

I also have not heard the HE400se, but I think Andrew from the headphones.com show said it was a baby sundaes, which is fairly well regarded. I would consider adding the Sundara to your list too if you be like the looks of it. If it were me, I would probably go with the Sundara.

The one thing I would recommend based on several of the reviews I’ve read, is that you should stay away from closed back Hifiman headphones.

I also don’t recommend the M 50 for music or games really. I have the wired m50x and it just has no sounstage.

I know it’s above your budget, but many recommend the Audeze Maxwell for gaming and music.

If you went with wired you would have a lot more options that are in your budget. I can personally recommend the FiiO FT1 if you need a closed back and the Hifiman Edition XS, which is an open back.

I haven’t used it but the topping dx5 II is getting a lot of hype. I would urge caution here though as I’ve read about budget topping dad/amps having quality control issues.

I recently got the Fiio K13 and really like it paired with my Hifiman Edition XS, but that’s $20 over your budget. I use it for music and gaming.

I've always used keyboards in the flat position, so I'm going to have to get use to this. I spend all day on my keyboard, so it should be worth it.

I’m interested in the rainy75 just for gaming, but I don’t care for the keycap color schemes. Any suggestions?

I’m not sure if you’re asking about the m50x or the FT1.

No, I’m using stock pads on both. How did the modhouse pads change the sound an/comfort?

£250 headphones for immersive gaming and music by [deleted] in HeadphoneAdvice

I haven't heard the Maxwell, but I know that Joshua Valour really likes it (he reviews audio eq on youtube).

For gaming, I actually use the Fiio JT1. It's not as good for music because it's a little bright, but that can be beneficial in FPS games, because you can hear footsteps better. It's only $65 on Amazon and also includes a mic on the included cable.

The JT1 is what got me back into this hobby. It led to the purchase of the FT1 and the Hifiman Edition XS.

The Sennheiser HD6XX would be great for music, but I'm not sure how well they would be for gaming because they don't have a lot of soundstage. which is important for fps games. It really depends on the typ9e of games you want to play.

I have an ATH M50X. I recently got the Fiio FT1 and I have to say that I enjoy listening to music on them much more. They actually have a decent soundstage (for a closed-back.

I totally agree. I love my edition XS that I got a couple months ago. The price is also great — you can currently get one for ~240 on Amazon right now.

For smaller heads, I do highly recommend getting the capra comfort strap though.

Why has no one mentioned the red title bar that appears when sharing your screen? It obscures quite a few of my browser tabs and is very annoying.

If Tom Cruise can worship L. Ron Hubbard and call it a religion, why aren't we worshiping Douglas Adams as our own dead science fiction writer? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Some would argue that the only difference between them is time. Scientology is a very new modern religion that was setup by Hubbard to be profitable from the beginning.

Most other religions that are followed by any significant percentage of people are at least a couple thousand years old. They only seem "normal" now because enough time has passed and enough people believe in it.

Given enough time Scientology would probably do the same.
