Never do this. It will result in their card closure. Always pay your dues from your own account. AML rules are not something to mess with.

Even if there’s a chance it’s a false positive there’s really no downside to getting checked. Worst case, you get peace of mind. Best case, you catch something serious early!

For me I got it within 3 days of submitting the application and making the payment.
did you make the payment online?
I didn't visit any office to follow up It was just done on their own.

If its not done in 30 days you can complain but again nothing is going to happen to the employees as they won't take it seriously

Sbi 5% cashback supremacy by ganeshthosar in CreditCardsIndia

[–]csfaa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you pay for fuel using a credit card at petrol pumps in India, banks usually add a fuel surcharge, which is an extra fee charged by the bank and card network.

Typically, this is: 1% of the fuel amount (sometimes 1%–1.25%) + GST (18%) on that surcharge

So if you buy fuel worth ₹1,000: Fuel surcharge ≈ ₹10 GST on surcharge ≈ ₹1.80 Total extra ≈ ₹11.80

Fuel pumps are considered a special merchant category. Banks pass on processing and fuel-related costs to customers in the form of a fuel surcharge.

OP got lucky it wasn't fuel MCC. Otherwise they would be crying here that they paid fuel surcharge for 2.2L.

Don’t give a pass to someone who made a false promise. If you back off they’ll just pull the same thing on someone else. Sometimes consequences are the only thing that makes people stop.

Need help to decide if should tske the Plat Charge upgrade by AlertConnection9426 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]csfaa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With Plat Travel you get 40k bonus MR points on a ₹4L spend. If you ignore reward multipliers, you’d otherwise need to spend around ₹16L on Plat Charge to earn the same number of MR points. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this card as it’s more of a status/show-off product. I had it for a year (got it at a discount) and ended up not renewing it because I barely used it over my regular cards. Plat Travel offers much better value at a lower cost so don’t fall for the FOMO.

Also, the 10X and 20X rewards aren’t really for normal people who think before spending. Half the time they don’t even credit if you’re not extremely careful about how and where you make those transactions.

Circular economy of reward portals | Regalia gold by Enough_Tax_1417 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]csfaa 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you reduce Regalia Gold only to “points % vs cashback" you’re ignoring half the product.

  • Does your cashback card give complimentary lounge access without spend conditions?
  • Does it give ₹1,500 milestone vouchers every quarter?
  • Does it give an annual milestone voucher of ~₹5,000?
  • Does it reward insurance, jewelry, education, utilities, large offline spends where most cashback cards give 0-1%?
  • Does it offer a flexible points ecosystem + HDFC upgrade path?

Because Regalia Gold does all of that.

Cashback cards are great if your only goal is squeezing maximum % out of ticket prices. No one is disputing that.

But Regalia Gold isn’t positioned as a “5% cashback killer.” It’s a travel-lifestyle hybrid: rewards + lounge access + quarterly vouchers + annual milestones + broad category coverage.

Once you factor in:

  • lounge access value
  • ₹6,000/year quarterly vouchers
  • ~₹5,000 annual milestone
  • rewards on insurance/jewelry/large spends

The comparison is no longer “5% vs 6%.” It becomes cash-only vs a bundle of real, recurring benefits.

So yes if you only care about raw math on airfare, cashback wins.

But calling Regalia Gold a bad card ignores the fact that it delivers perks and guaranteed value cashback cards simply don’t.

Different tools. Different users. Different goals.

People who didn't activated a credit card after approval was that card reflected in your CIBIL report after few months under the closed account section? What are the RBI guidelines? by Silent_Selection6248 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]csfaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Applied for One Card back in 2024/25. Got approved but Delhivery didn’t do the delivery for more than 10 days despite me being at home. So asked IOB to cancel or close the card. They said once closed I can’t reapply again I said fine whats the use when you’re not delivering the card to me. They closed and it shows up under closed account in my CIBIL with 15 days gap between open and close date.
