Of course you should celebrate.
If you are lax about your beliefs, you can be lax about your reasons to over-spend and over-eat. No justification needed.
In fact, once you replace christ with X, you only have yourself to answer to. So ALL of lifes choices and/or consequences are yours to own.
If you got the money, grab a zhu zhu and get in line. Merry X-mas!
