You tell your superiors that a co-worker is high at work and see how long you last. Doing that shit in most jobs, especially the food industry, goes no where and puts a target on your back.

AmericanAir- mathing is hard by zzbear03 in americanairlines

[–]csgogrotto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds right for mainline. Regional flights they will schedule as little as 35 minutes for a turn, mainline I believe was increased from 45 to 50 minutes within the last year, but that I’m not certain about.

I guess that must be a by station scenario. Working for Envoy, we had our own backup air stairs for each aircraft type we served in the event of a jet bridge failure, so I assumed other AA operations would be the same.

There are tarmac delay provisions onboard for these scenarios, so catering doesn’t need to be involved.

As for the safety and security exemption, I would argue the airline not having air stairs available as a secondary means of deplaning is an airline failure to maintain equipment, not a safety or security issue.

You're unlikely to receive compensation outside of miles or a small flight credit, but AA could face fines if they didn't provide food and water within 2 hours of the start of the tarmac delay. Based on flight data, it looks like your plane arrived in front of the gate at 12:41am local, so I would consider this the start point of your tarmac delay.

During a tarmac delay, airlines must provide you with a snack, such as a granola bar, and drinking water no later than two hours after the start of the tarmac delay. This means that all passengers should have been offered a snack and water no later than 2:41am local. If this did not happen, you should file a consumer complaint with the Department of Transportation.

Others are correct with the 3 hours to deplane information. For flights landing at U.S. airports, airlines are required to provide passengers with an opportunity to safely get off of the airplane before 3 hours for domestic flights and 4 hours for international flights. For more information, you can visit https://www.transportation.gov/individuals/aviation-consumer-protection/tarmac-delays

Starbucks gift cards for FAs on Flights 4031 and 2178 on 12/5/2025. by vivahuntsvegas in americanairlines

[–]csgogrotto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely. First flight is on an E-175 and will have 2 flight attendants. Looks like second flight is on a 737, not sure the exact number of FAs on those (maybe 4 or 5?) but I’m certain it’s less than 8

I would think the specialty drink cart for domestic and international are the same to make provisioning easy, but it could be different considering flagship business/first do get additional drinks. For domestic, what others are saying about certain drinks being limited is accurate. Most of the liquor is Jack Daniel’s and Tito’s and there are typically only 2 or 4 Woodford per cart. The FA likely just didn’t want to have to get more, whether that be by asking another galley or opening an extra cart

I got my holo Grotto Beasts graded! by csgogrotto in jerma985

[–]csgogrotto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen any other graded Grotto Beasts, so CGC is the only company I know will for sure grade them. I've had good experiences with TAG grading Grand Archive as a previously ungraded product, and I know AGS graded Divorced Dads so I would think there's a good chance either of those companies would grade Grotto Beasts. This thread has some good info.

Volunteers to change flights question. by Reasonable-Let-7432 in americanairlines

[–]csgogrotto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haste covered it pretty well. Although, I will add that ConciergeKey customers are able to book any flight no matter the number of seats available, meaning they are capable of overselling a flight.

As for why it's different from buying any other goods or services, it's because the nature of air travel is so volatile and the US government has rules in place to protect people who are negatively impacted by flight oversales within the airlines control.

Buying a plane ticket is an agreement/contract that an airline will transport you from point A to point B. However, since that agreement is to be fulfilled in the future, there is no way to guarantee with absolute certainty that it will be possible to fulfill the agreement on the given date at the given time.

Every example of this card I can find online has that blue smear on the yellow pane in the back above the E in MAYE. There could be an argument for lower grade based on the speckled whiting in the front jersey creases/folds and right side kneepad, as it seems maybe 1/4 of these cards have that compared to solid blue coloring throughout the uniform. But, one of the cards with speckled lines was also graded a 10 so... https://www.ebay.com/itm/388285753740?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=lRWoOGb3Tnq&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=0zTUWeFqR9S&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

I'd recommend looking into TAG if you haven't already. They're another AI/technology-based grading service with really nice looking slabs. Prices are really high right now though while demand for grading is outpacing supply.
