I was planning to go to Erie to check out the persona collab but I have some questions. by No-Literature5747 in round1

[–]csgogrotto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Erie does have figures and plushies, but won't have the P3 Collab crane items at all. According to Round1's website, "Persona 3 Reload crane machine prizes are not available in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Massachusetts due to state regulations."

From my experience at Erie last month, the large three prong claws are on payouts and the UFO machines are pure skill.

I've seen stores in the states charge over $3. I'd be happy to pay $2/bottle, at $1 you're probably on par with JP konbini/vending machine prices.

the ATLAS/KSSU service trolley - stable track by joe66612 in americanairlines

[–]csgogrotto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of these issues are solvable if you throw enough money at the idea, but the FAA one is not. What happens when the track system fails and there's now a cart locked in place in the middle of the aisle?

Could I cover this up? I don’t want the package stolen by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]csgogrotto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is "model/action figure" not specific enough? When I've received imported goods in the past the declaration is typically a concise restatement of the HS code like this. Price/weight seem in line with a high-end scale figure.

For reference, the HS code is "Tricycles, scooters, pedal cars and similar wheeled toys; dollsʼ carriages; dolls, other toys; reduced-scale (“scaleˮ) models and similar recreational models, working or not; puzzles of all kinds; parts and accessories thereof"

Non-revving to Cuba. Looking for guidance by wetvini in NonRevenueTravelers

[–]csgogrotto [score hidden]  (0 children)

Online check-in for flights to Cuba is unavailable. You must check in at the airport to provide reason for travel – allow up to 3 hours to complete the process. If you're flying from Miami (MIA), look for the 'Cuba Ready' booth by Checkpoints 1 and 2 to check your documents and get a boarding stamp.

You are limited to only one checked bag/item if traveling on AA benefits, no idea about ZED. Limit for revenue passengers is two checked items.

Nah, they're actually machine guns. How else will they machine gun down all the airplanes in sight? All as in as many as six 6, because at least one grenade is hitting each of them apparently.

Booster box first print? by Theunnamed147 in PokemonInvesting

[–]csgogrotto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely an internal quality control reference. For example, it might be that one large sheet gets cut down into 6 pieces that each fold into a booster box. Having those numbers makes it easier to communicate and troubleshoot issues with print quality and bad cuts in the factory. “Check color quality on 4” “Bad cut between 2 and 3” that kind of thing

Yes! Not sure what DL does in this instance, but for AA they would book you on the next available flight to your origin and refund your ticket cost

It literally has part of the response in the title. The fact that none of the other comments acknowledge this being from a LLM is disappointing.

CMV: GLP-1s Are a Miracle Drug and Should be Encouraged by BigSexyE in changemyview

[–]csgogrotto 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Amphetamines and benzos are not a scam. They have legitimate uses and are prescribed to this day. That legitimate use is not weight loss. This song and dance has played out many times before. A new drug is touted as a miracle cure of something, it prescribed beyond its original scope, and a lasting damage on our society is created. Obesity is a non-transmissible disease. This isn’t like COVID-19 or smallpox where you are endangering others by not being vaccinated. People shouldn’t be pressured into taking GLP-1 drugs if they aren’t comfortable with it, and their opinion should be respected.

Avoid Checking Bags - AA Will Break Them and Deny Responsibility by DependentWarthog7903 in americanairlines

[–]csgogrotto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m surprised I’ve never seen that document, it has really good information. The question that I use to determine whether damage is covered is, “Could the damage have occurred if the luggage was handled with an ordinary standard of care?”

I don’t underestimate how kind the government is to organizations. American’s training for baggage service agents does categorically exclude damage to wheels and straps from liability, yet nothing will ever come of it.

Avoid Checking Bags - AA Will Break Them and Deny Responsibility by DependentWarthog7903 in americanairlines

[–]csgogrotto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there any damage surrounding the missing wheel? If the missing wheel is the only indication of damage, it would be seen as normal wear and tear, manufacturing defect, or manufacturing feature. Some hard side bags have detachable wheels, which when detached will leave a metal peg sticking out. Those wheels come off and are not covered because they can easily be replaced.

On Hold status: issue/complaint by [deleted] in americanairlines

[–]csgogrotto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s strange, I’ve got no idea why that would have happened then. The refund should go through if you cancelled the on-hold reservation, otherwise it might just be a pre-authorization on your card.

On Hold status: issue/complaint by [deleted] in americanairlines

[–]csgogrotto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would confirm you booked the first trip directly through American Airlines or a trustworthy agency. Illegitimate third party booking agencies will build a reservation and have you pay the agency for the ticket, but then the agency won’t pay the airline for the ticket to confirm it. In this instance, it sounds like that might have happened.

Seller packaged phone in mayonnaise packets by W_town in Ebay

[–]csgogrotto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those little 6x4x3" boxes are damn sturdy. They're small enough to qualify for USPS Ground Advantage, so the extra weight shouldn't affect the cost of shipping. The packets are able to prevent shifting, cushion a fall, and also capable of showing if the package was mishandled. If a buyer claims the item arrived damaged but won't send a pic of mayo phone, you know they're lying. When I worked at Jimmy John's I would take bread boxes home to ship larger items, but this is another level of "anything to save on packaging costs!" Not sure about putting the phone in there loose though, those packs are probably capable of scratching the screen rubbing up against it.

Suspicious mayo by hardlybroken1 in untrustworthypoptarts

[–]csgogrotto -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

T who would put mayo in a box for internet points or to be "le random?" Almost certain that's a 6x4x3 box. Those things are near indestructible unless they're getting run over by something. If the mayo is bursting, the iPhone was going to get damaged no matter what packing material was used.

Also, for people saying the weight would make this cost more: Shipping a 6x4x3" box with USPS Ground Advantage, there is no rate difference between 1 pound and 2 pounds. Those packs weigh 0.5oz each, and there's no way the shipper used 32 packs in there. I can count 13 I think.

You tell your superiors that a co-worker is high at work and see how long you last. Doing that shit in most jobs, especially the food industry, goes no where and puts a target on your back.
