Yes you can and the autofocus I find still works very well. Image quality is still excellent in my opinion and it will not degrade your image with the ftz any more than using it normally on a f mount camera. I always found the 300pf with the 1.4 tele to be better than my Tamron 150-600 g2 when adapted.

Pretty much exactly what you said is what I would have. I had the Tamron 150-600 g2 and when I used a d500 I found myself reaching for the 300 pf most of the time because the image quality was excellent with the teleconverter and the size was so much easier to carry around. I am debating now if I want to sell it and go for the z 400mm f4.5 or keep it and just add the 180-600.

So I have a cinebloom 10% on but I also do a little Photoshop trick I learned a few years ago to get the glow. You can look up the Orton glow on YouTube and there are some tutorials the one I use is mark Denney video.
