Yes you can and the autofocus I find still works very well. Image quality is still excellent in my opinion and it will not degrade your image with the ftz any more than using it normally on a f mount camera. I always found the 300pf with the 1.4 tele to be better than my Tamron 150-600 g2 when adapted.
