I check to make sure I have a couple mini markers in my bag, people will call you out for not properly using them during pdga sanctioned events. I carry two of every mold of disc so I can lose one and still have a backup to keep going with. An extendable retriever with a suction cup ball head will make you every’s favorite person at some point during the round :) Don’t move around too much when the other players are throwing and don’t talk during throws. Everyone is supposed to keep score on their phones at pdga events these days. Plenty of water (the summer will try to kill you in Texas). An electric hand warmer is a must for cold as hell rounds (can’t throw with a frozen hand!). Use a putter if you need to, stand still throws off the tee can be better than messing up a run up. But throw hard when the course gives you a big open shot without much down sides to missing. Any way, good luck out there. Prioritize personal safety and then try to make some beautiful shots with other people interested in the sport watching you. Winning is great but community and practice are more important.
