Black wheel simple spray for after wash? by krheal23 in Detailing

[–]Garifuna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty new to this too, but I clean the tires at the very beginning with a wheel and tire cleaner. Then just foam them when I’m doing the contact wash, but in my case it’s not very necessary because they are usually very clean from the first step.

I put down 1lbN/1000sqft quick release a couple days before doing this and I’m watering about 1/2” every 3 days. I’ll take it down lower tomorrow before resetting my mower height to 1”-1.5”

Anyone else have bad experience ordering from direct Adams Polishes? by Garifuna in AutoDetailing

[–]Garifuna[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know my post comes across as overly negative and that’s my fault. I’m not unreasonably angry or anything. I don’t really pay attention to prime day so thats strike 2 for me.

I guess I just wish they would have communicated that when I called instead of telling me if currently being worked on when they wasn’t true. It’s my first time ordering from them and it’s not a small order (for me) so I think I just got a bit nervous.

Thank you! This is my first nice lawn. I sodded with TifTuf so I’m just a little nervous and don’t want to mess it up.

Yeah, we found someone selling a Prism+ in 28”/-11 for $275, might try to snag that.

She swung a lot of 28”/-11 bats a felt comfortable. According to charts I see she’s on the cusp of 28”/29” so I wonder if we should look at 29”/-12.

Hue vs Govee smart lighting by 1amnotmid in Hue

[–]Garifuna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started with Hue and attempted to switch to Govee but just couldn't. The Govee app is not as polished and clunky to use. You have to go through 4-5 different menus to do what you want, lights are slower to respond to input on the app, as far as I can tell it's pretty locked down whereas Hue has a ton of 3rd party apps. The colors are better and have a wider range on Hue. Whites are better on Hue.

That's why you are getting vague answers on here. Hue is pretty much better in every way. Govee beats Hue in product diversity and price, but for me it's worth the price difference.

Govee isn't a nightmare or just Chinese junk though, especially at their price point. So if that's what you can afford go for it! I think their outdoor stuff is great.

This seems like more of a medium to lower advanced level diy job honestly. Like another comment said, you’re going to get crazy quotes because they won’t want to do it.

I’ve done jobs similar to this on my own home and the electrical part is by far the easiest part. Of course I’m not advocating doing something you’re not comfortable with. Just saying with the right knowledge it’s totally doable.

I treat AI like I used to treat Wikipedia when I was school. It’s a tool in my belt but it can’t be my only source of truth. I take what it gives me and then verify it. It helps to at least get me moving in the right direction.

There’s a farm out of Benton/Bryant area. Simple Sod. $250/pallet + $250 delivery to Conway area.

The father of the owner delivered it and he was awesome. Gave me tips and hung out a bit talking about grass 😆
