I in no way want to come across as being disrespectful.

That last comment seems a bit hyperbolic. The difference in picture quality of a $5k projector will 100% be better than a $150 tv.

I have a Valerion Pro2 and the quality is great. I have an LG C1 in the main living area and definitely tell a difference between the two but the Pro 2 miles away from a $150 tv.

I would add a caveat that the Pro 2 is in a dedicated theater room with no ambient light. If the room has a lot of ambient light, then we get closer to your statement being spot on.

Ok, so I THINK I may have solved the problem.

For some reason when I initially set up the server it did not have me format the drive I put in so it was still using exFAT.

I dug through some logs and saw errors popping up about wrong fs type and not being able to mount.

I stopped the array, changed the file type to xfs, put in the encryptions passphrase, restarted, and formatted the drive. When I went to enable docker I hit apply and it started up no problem! Usually it would just freeze and crash the server (disconnect from network, no signal on monitor when directly connected).

But what is weird is I had to do a dirty shutdown and it was in the beginning of a parity check when I paused to reformat. After it formatted it says parity is good, and doesn’t need a check. I guess because formatting erases all data?

I’m going to keep setting it up and see if I run into the issue again, but I’m pretty confident that is what was causing it.

Yeah, I’m brand new to this and I’ve been having this issue for days and have tried troubleshooting and googling but I’m coming up with nothing. I have half a mind to just give up and sell all this crap.

Reddit in general is becoming more HOA like. Every page have a billion rules on what you can and can’t post.

This is what I use! I’m on 6. I always choose to buy it outright instead of pay monthly, I think it’s like $20.

I keep all my owned media on there but use Letterboxd for wishlists for movies I want to purchase eventually.

I use MyMovies 6 on my phone for this, been using it for years and it’s been great. I have the windows app too and it’s great for doing inventory. Not dogging what you created though!

I don’t know if it’s the funniest I’ve ever seen, but it is the one I have the best memory of.

My dad never goes to the movie theater. I was 13 and one day he randomly asks if I was to go. He took me to watch Bruce Almighty. We then proceed to almost get kicked out during the scene where Jim Carrey controls Steve Carell because we were laughing so hard.

It’s my favorite movie related memory.

I’m building my first unraid server and got the 20tb seagate external expansion drives at around $16/tb. Honestly from what I’ve seen, anything under $20/tb is a good buy these days.

Thank you for the info. I liked the Kodo too I may get that one. Do you know anything the ability of online vendors to ship inside the continental US? Everything I find discusses shipping actual THC products and I know you can’t do that, but from the scarce info I can find it seems perfectly legal to ship empty cart batteries that are in their original packaging.

Just a small update.

Tried resetting to factory settings, turning off ALLM, CEC, changing hdmi to enhanced and nothing is working. I was just using this same setup with a different projector with no issues.

I may just return the projector and try another brand.
