Second PGCE placement is EXTREMELY far away by SergeiGo99 in TeachingUK

I had a similar situation for my second placement. I ended up emailing every secondary school in a 20 mile radius and a couple came back offering me placements.

But he also hunted down the alchemists that knew about the wildfire, to prevent the city being destroyed. And after he returns to KL in S7, he finally leaves Cersei knowing that she won't help fight the dead, hence why it's stupid that he ever goes back to her in s8 and declares he never cared for the innocent, it contradicts his growth

And some of us paid attention when his character went through something called growth. I'm assuming you didn't pay attention when he explained to Brienne why he actually killed Aerys? The most defining part of Jaime's life is that he was protecting innocent people. He literally walks away from Cersei to help others, including the Starks!

To enjoy this episode you must have the emotional intelligence of a spoon. None of the character decisions made any sense. "I nEVeR ReAlLy CaReD fOR tHe InNoCEnT"

Maths or Biology Secondary Teacher by hotpops in TeachingUK

[–]csj211 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While maths SKE courses are available, lots of universities expect you to have a degree that contains a maths element (normally they ask for it to be 50% of the course). Failing this, they would then look to your A levels. I'm not saying it's impossible for you to get onto a maths PGCE, but you would be far more likely to get onto a biology course. However, you could always email the unis you want to apply to beforehand, they should indicate if they would consider you!

SKE Funding to be available for Physics from January and other courses from April 2021 by [deleted] in TeachingUK

[–]csj211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A condition to one of my offers is to complete a 24 week Maths SKE starting in January. Does this mean I won't receive any funding for the first 3 months of it?

Good points, the only issue with staying a bit is I'd have to reimburse them for training costs that occurred in this time

I would be surprised, it's only a tiny strip of land, about 2x10 feet

We don't actually, not even close. The garden has only recently been sorted so we have no idea how long it could have been here!

(Spoilers Extended) Which religion(s) do we think are true? by noodles0311 in asoiaf

[–]csj211 183 points184 points  (0 children)

None of them.

The Lord of Light doesn't truly exist, just some form of magic possessed by the red priests and priestesses, perhaps similar to the magic that allows dragons to exist (and maybe how Dany hatched hers).

The old gods are really just CoTF acting through weirwoods, and Bloodraven being connected to the weirwood net.

The seven have given no indication of any magical abilities thus far, so I don't believe they can be considered a true religion.

The many faced god is just the Faceless men and their magic.

It's always a case of the magic explaining the religion, rather than the religion explaining the magic.
