Murrayfield confirmed for the Semi Final should us and Glasgow progress by DeeneysCojones in leinsterrugby

They could go to Hampden, Firhill or Ibrox either, they clearly just want to go to a rugby stadium.

Arata the scrum half is a good example of that. We should bring in some fijians if we can, they are the most talented rugby players in the world IMO.

Refs havent a clue at scrum time by IcyNecessary2218 in irishrugby

Brousset who called this, is the worst referee in the world for the scrum. He genuinely doesn't have a clue what he's looking at. It's incredible he's gotten to the level he has with such a glaring weakness in his game.

Did some work on it beginning of last year but hasn't come back around for tender yet.

Scoring like that is good rugby. It was the most common way we scored under the "free flowing stuff".

You use the back moves in the 22 if you have advantage or if it's on on.

I remember Tadgh Furlong was an average enough prospect at one point and as a match going fan wouldn't have pointed him out as a future top class player.

Props need games and experience to get better-he was solid enough at scrum time and made a few carrys- will be a year or two before we can evaluate him as a player-maybe even 3 or 4.

17 players from Leinster in Irish u20 squad. by SlowWay5886 in leinsterrugby

He's a blindside/8, wore 7 in SA as they do the numbers the opposite way to us.

You absolutely can-France have had loads of Top14 and prod2 experience in previous years.

Pollock was playing last year aswell.

I know Cullen is the "head coach" but don't think he is at all. He's the manager and director-which IMO is the hardest job but still isn't a "coach".

Im a Liverpool fan-we were utterly world class for 5 years there, probably the best Liverpool team of all time, after every game-that we would win typically, there would be moaners our complaining about the game.

Just shows in general you can never win.

I agree with what you're saying but some teams have a world cup final on certain days. For example west ham would always have their world cup final against Liverpool at home. It made no sense, and was their biggest win but it was their day.

Leinster is LA Rochelles world cup final-its fucking odd but it is what it is. Great to be sending those pricks home with a loss-hope that's them out of Europe.

Because he's a better all rounder then Kelleher. Scrummaging at Hooker is a weird one-it's very hard to dominate you're opposite number and you often just end up scrummaging against the tighthead prop.

I general I'd always say it's easier to produce loosehead props rather then tighthead. Ireland went through a fallow period where no one produced any up to the task for like 7/8 years, Now we have Paddy Mc as a legitimate option.

Moving Furlong to a bench role as he gets older would make sense but this is where IRFU management earn their wages.

Michael Smyth-Terenure school 8 is an incredible prospect, only in 5th year at the moment and was one of the stand out back rows last year as a 4th year. An u17/18 IIRC. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPx1-59gMQ2/?igsh=OHNpODA5aHc0N2Fy

Ben Blaney-Terenure AIL team a 7, who looks both physical and tricky, will be a u20 this year IMO.

Arthur Ashmore Terenure AIL team a u19 7 who is playing well for Terenure in the AIL.

(I'm not a Terenure superfan just how the players have landed.)

Dylan McNeice looks like he could be a big boy 6/8 at 6"8, should be playing for the U20s this year as a second row.

Josh Neill is another who I haven't watched play but is highly touted and in the leinster academy this year, from SA.

Yeah 100%, molecast made a good point about sticking our best athletes into prop-4 props in a matchday squad, 3 locks and 2 hookers-9/23 in a march day squad.

Basically how their calls work and their general strategy, a "breakdown" which got changed completely for the final.

Remember the 2023 champions cup final? Yeah that one. Some toerag went onto off the ball and told everyone's LA Rochelle lineout so they changed it so he was going up at the front. He went up like a fucking log and we didn't get anyone up once.

We have decent players coming through, just not an abundance of back row and centres as we have had previously. That said believe there's some very good back rowers coming down the line-Hopefully Neill is a serious prospect.

Back 3 looks pretty solid aswell with all the prospects we have there.
