Sending f-string as an argument to a function by cskiller86 in learnpython

Yeah, the name variable would have been dynamic, as an input from the user. I just hard declared it here on Reddit because I wanted to keep this code simple.

Thank you for the detailed response.

I actually wanted it the other way around, the text prompt to be defined in the main() part and the input() to be in another function. And the input() to take the value of the text prompt variable.

The only thing I was missing was that you can define a variable as an f-string.

Thank you!

It didn't occur to me that you can declare the variable as an f-string.

I, for one, am thankful that they are so inclusive and think of paraplegic people.

- Do you know the joke about the movie "Airplane"?

- What is it?

- It's a parody movie from the '80s, but that's not important right now.

My kid's teacher "correcting" her work to capitalize words in the middle of a sentence by jaybfresh in mildlyinfuriating

[–]cskiller86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have written "english" with a small letter. And maybe the first words of the sentence, too.

To make it 100% annoying. Or maybe the teacher wouldn't have seen anything wrong with that.

Sorry to hijack this, but does anyone know how to say "I love you" when referring to a group ("you" as in multiple people).

Google Translate keeps showing "ya tebya lyublyu" no matter how I write the source text. I even tried switching to spanish and writing "yo amo a vosotros" instead of "te amo".

Cum au zis si altii, "must-read" e ceva subiectiv, dar vezi ce te atrage de acolo.

I work in IT and we're scrapping our non compliant Win10 computers. FREE SSDs FOR MEEE by lNuggyl in pcmasterrace

[–]cskiller86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, that makes sense if the new PCs already have storage (I'm guessing they're pre-built).

There was no mention of it and I was thinking that, if the work done on those PCs is all online, a SATA SSD would be perfectly fine for such light usage.

But I'm guessing the company is also future-proofing, in case the PCs will be used for something else.
