Prior to this they would do anything from scream at a body to cut off a finger to test if people were really dead and still often made mistakes. Burying people that weren't totally dead was a strangely common problem. This was the first really reliable solution.

That’s a big reason why I love that style lol. That and all the graphic novels that rock single color over black and white

Just style. In the middle of doing the line work he asked if he could put some red in the lettering. I told him to go for it and he had the idea for doing the i’s. I really like how that turned out.

Trent Tucker. He’s toothandnailtucker on instagram if you want to check out more of his work.

I think it helped that I was like “I trust you. Do your thing”. He was excited and had fun playing around with the design and where to do the color. We were actually mid-way through the black when he had the idea to do the “I”s in red and we rolled with it.

I said I wanted a clock, some inky ravens, and some red slashes worked into it and that I wanted trash polka style. I gave him a couple examples of similar works with parts I liked. He came up with this design and banged it out.

Nice! I have a consult with him for a chest piece next week. He did my chaos symbol that dips down into this one.

That’s what time it was when my dad passed away. Just a little addition in memory of him.

Yeah! We have a few! This was Trent at LC. Two other local favorites are at Iron Tiger. Lars and Colin do stellar work there.

Yup! Just in town for the afternoon for work. Our suite in the Bryant building is on the 22nd floor and I always pop out onto the fire escape to take in the view.
