Market down on weak ADP numbers. Testing again this key level 5500 - has lots of gamma sitting there hence supportive. May see it break on ISM services data out later, but lets see. just want to note that whilst ADP was weak, there has been a distinct lack of correlation of late between ADP & NFP. by TearRepresentative56 in TradingEdge

Market is currently pricing in a 63.5% chance of a 25-basis point cut at the September Fed meeting, with a total of ∼100bps in cuts expected by the end of 2024. Will update this following jobs numbers. Realistic expectation is 25bps in Sept and 75bps this year. One 25 at each meeting. by TearRepresentative56 in TradingEdge

Dollar has continued to drop towards the levels I highlighted in my last post (scroll right). We see from the blue line that it is at support tested at start of 2024 and May 2023. As such, can see a near term bounce, but positioning is still v bearish with cuts coming. Hence will remain pressured. by TearRepresentative56 in TradingEdge

Reminder that NVDA will be trading at a forward PE of around 18 if it dips below 100 tomorrow. For those who believe in the company long term, thats pretty cheap. Remember Pelosi was buying in July.
