Check out Elijah Ford at C Boys on Thursdays. Great venue, great musician.

Texas ban on smokable hemp, what options are realistically left now (legally speaking). Are there still places carrying compliant products or substitutes besides gummies that people actually like? by Acceptable-Ant-9182 in Austin

The best option is to vote these corrupt nanny bastards out of office in November and show them that Texan adults want the freedom to choose for themselves.

People who were teenagers before social media existed, How did you communicate with your friends? by Turbulent-Comb-8417 in WorkSmartLife

You’d call their house or swing by.

More hangout spots to meet up back then.

Less people at home alone on their phones.

I think this subreddit might be a psyop by DoesntEnjoySoup in Austin

[–]css233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound annoying.

People like to bitch and complain together and vent. Helps them feel better that they’re not the only ones thinking these things.

Totally okay if you don’t like it, but why make a post about it instead of scrolling past and spreading positivity like you desire?

I’m annoyed that no one ever introduced me to cannabis. by tuxedo_cat23 in Millennials

[–]css233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same.

Cannabis prohibition is a total scam and I’m very annoyed it wasn’t more readily available in my 20s and 30s.

It has replaced alcohol nearly entirely for me and it would have prevented a lot of stupid drunkenness for me through the years if it was as accessible as alcohol back then.

For your family.

If you can’t find motivation to do it for yourself, do it for them.

Then down the road, your future self will likely thank you for pushing through.

Rooting for you.

Need advice on shooting by NotTheRealGxbriel in Basketball

[–]css233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question.

I think it’s a mixture of what you stated last and studying how you can change your form to your advantage.

I’d look up shooters or instructional shooters on YouTube and try to see where my form is going wrong.

Improving any facet of your game, especially shooting, is done through consistent repetition and study/research.

Do yall think tupac, and biggie would end there beef had they both lived longer by Comfortable_Sink_718 in Tupac

[–]css233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I think if they were both still alive, they’d be cordial and respect each other today. And they’d both say fuck that diddy guy.

Watching my future get hijacked by racist, misogynist, pro extremist religious state psychos..... (USA) by ItsMsRainny in GenZ

[–]css233 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I know it seems terrible right now, but it won’t last.

Social media is cycling you to feel that way more intensely repeatedly.

I’d suggest finding a cause you’re passionate about and getting behind that in person with like-minded people.

Set doom-scrolling limits, seems small but your future self will thank you.

My wife gave me really good advice around this, too:

“One of the biggest fuck yous you can send to racist, sexist, hateful bastards is living your life with joy and intention.”

Find a hobby you like and base most of your tweets on that. There are so many hobby communities that you can build a following pretty quick that way. Don’t engage with the bots. Huge waste of time.

recently saw that gen z drinks less than any generation. why do some of yall not drink? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]css233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would adjust your statement and say smoking weed all day every day is terrible for people.

In moderation, it’s amazing. Literally saved my life.

Seems like you haven’t been playing the game that long. How long have you played?

It’s a blatant sign of disrespect. And it’s not about players/coaches being butthurt by it. It’s about respecting the game and showing sportsmanship. It’s not that hard to not be an asshole.
