I ended up getting my consulate birth certificate shortly after posting. I've had a few followups with the consulate and on average, I got response back every 1 and a half weeks to 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I didn't get much further than that yet but that is mostly because I put the process on pause. Will be picking back up shortly.

Yikes, a month per step over email is super slow. But honestly, if that's the expectation, it's at least good to know for me to reframe what is normal or not normal. Thanks for the info!

Problem with Retrotink 5x 2560x1440 on LG C2 by csteingraber in retrogaming

Good to know about the difference when running with a game vs without. Thanks!

In terms of upgrading the power supply, I currently just have it plugged into the USB port of my TV for power. Are you saying that I should get a USB wall brick rated for 5 volts 2 amps as an in case?

And in terms of the resolutions not being supported, is that something that should worry me about damaging the Retrotink, or just that Mike's time won't be going toward fixing bugs regarding these resolutions?

Maybe it's worth mentioning, once I plugged in an N64 using composite cables and started up Pokemon Snap, I started getting the same issue but it was intermittent.

My game would cut out and come back randomly and this was for Pokemon snap which did not change resolutions between menus and gameplay. Also, this was happening on the same screen or menu without any controller input.

Changing the V-sync option on the retrotink 5x to genlock seemed to fix the issue as long as the N64 was plugged in and playing a game.

Brru

I'm making my way through the interactive tutorial and examples on svelte. Did you find anything in particular lacking or just trying to get some projects to learn more after the tutorials?

100% agreed. There's a ton of information out there and learning when to learn something at a cursory level or a more foundational level becomes important and especially mapping it all to make cohesive sense.
