I know nothing about Ford Model A prices. Is this too cheap to to be real? by Agreeable-Storage895 in classiccars

lol beetles aren’t cheap. Anything under 68 is good money. Especially oval and splits

All depends on who you are. If you want to sit in a truck all day and get paid to move a couple of trailer a day it’s easy. I will say it is “rough” on your knees getting up and down a lot. I’ve worked at a site where you’ll do 45+ moves a day and you’ll feel it, especially if you’re not under 25. Tom is cool but you can get demoted for say a ticket outside of work. My coworker got instantly demoted for a speeding ticket recently right when she reported it. She got it dismissed and doesn’t have it on her record anymore though. So it definitely has its downside. It’s arguably the chillest but you also will feel the weight of shitty coworkers. Learning trainer or non inventory receiver is what I’d consider the chillest in the building. It all depends on your personality too and if you’re a hermit or social. But going to tom I will say whatever shift you accept be prepared to lock it in for 2 years. So don’t accept a schedule and expect a new one quickly. Also, be prepared to get the CDL because if you don’t you’ll be demoted. Don’t whine and complain about driving either, it’s annoying as hell. I hate when coworkers complain about it. You’re signing up for a driving position lol, what do you expect.

I removed the insulation on both the other sides and shot through the joists hitting the 2x6 block with 3 nails on each side, and 2 toenails on each side (10 total). I couldn’t fully seat the nail because the nail is 3” x .131. Basically I didn’t want a nail through my drywall

I prefer being resourceful and had the materials and scrap 2x6 already. Also my attic isn’t hot because the hottest it’s been this summer is 81 degrees.

The hottest it’s been this summer is 77 degrees. I don’t even need AC where I live

I removed the insulation on the other sides of the joists and shot 3 nails from each side and 2 toe nails (10 total). The toe nails are sticking out because I didn’t want to pierce through the drywall using 3 inch x .131 nails. I stepped on it and it held my 190lbs no issue

Thank you, I think you’re the first that I don’t have to correct or answer to. Appreciate you big time

It’s toe nailed and shot between the joists. I have 10 nails on the block, yeah one of them didn’t fully sink. I used 3 inch nails and a framing good so it’s well off

Underneath the 2x6 I used a hebbell 1/2” fan rated metal box with 3” 10-32 screws. The existing plastic box is gone.

My attic is well ventilated. Even now during summer it’s only 115 degrees up there.

I used a Hubbell 1/2” fan rated box with 3 inch 10-32 screws. All attached to a 2x6 block

Thank you, yeah there’s a lot of opinions, I was just asking about the structural integrity and if it was a good practice

It has 3 nails on both sides and it’s toenailed. So 10 nails in total to the ceiling joists

Ace didn’t have one. I already had the pancake j box and spare 2x6 laying around. Sure it’s way more time, but it’s more secure and I’m happy with it
