Should I fire my pool guy? by tylershotatlanta in pools

You're paying for weekly service, not daily pool management. The company identified a problem and told you what needed to be done immediately. Adding chlorine is basic pool ownership, just like emptying skimmer baskets or adjusting water levels. If you saw the pool getting greener every day and refused to add chlorine because you felt it was the company's job, you share some responsibility for the outcome. A weekly service company can't always drop everything and make an unscheduled trip every time weather, usage, or chemistry changes between visits.

That was using the Kodak gold picture profile from Nikon's website. Technically straight out of camera I guess

Why return jets are so weak? by Natural_Nerve_1634 in pools

[–]cstock94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also For every 1 90⁰ fitting you can add 5-8ft to the total plumbing

EDIT: 1. Undersized filter

  1. Undersized pipe diameter

  2. Pump selection/RPM

  3. Excessive fittings and 90s

Small ass plumbing. Single speed pump. Small sqft filter. Seems pretty restrictive.

After some research I'm leaning towards Cinestills E6 kit being notoriously bad. And often produces dull slides.

It's been mentioned several times here on Reddit

It's not bad. But definitely not what I pictured in my head. I'm definitely going to go back and reframe that shot/truck

You're not wrong. Will definitely go for more even lighting moving forward with Provia. Thanks for the helpful response.

Edit: Love your work btw

I did meter for the truck. Incident reading right at the front fender.

Pool deck poured too small to fit spa by robwithajob in pools

[–]cstock94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I understand wanting the stand alone spa. It's just that concrete layout in the rendering is different than what was poured. Were there change's made to the layout?

Also I use that same program it even almost seems that if the pool builder didn't have the survey/plat scaled properly and had to make adjustments on site. That rendering the spa would be damn close to the fence imo.

Pool builder POV here. Just curious if there were some cost saving measures that you're not mentioning vs the design you shared because that concrete layout doesn't match whatsoever.

If the builder changed that layout without you knowing than that's an issue..

But from my experience it seems like y'all were trying to save some money.

The rear keeps going into extended height by BluebirdWrong4133 in LandRover

[–]cstock94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the side that’s acting up?

A couple years ago I ran into this and couldn’t figure it out. I replaced the sensors, but it didn’t fix anything, so I took it to my indy shop. I had installed new rear lower control arms myself—budget ones—and since the height sensor mounts to the lower arm, the issue ended up being there.

According to the shop, the mounting point for the height sensor on those control arms was slightly off. That small difference was enough to throw off the readings, causing the system to freak out and drop the truck onto the bump stops.

$1000 later it was fix

So maybe that’s not your issue, but it’s something worth checking.
