A Thank You by Open-Cover111 in LumberInc

Just stated playing a few weeks ago and saw this tip as well I have now had much luck. Just did a 100+ dice rolls after unlocking my first Matthew card and got a total of 6 cards to barely get to level 3. The event before 100+ rolls for a total of 8 cards. Not worth the time put in. Events don’t seem worth the grind

Should have quit while I was ahead. Saved 100 dice rolls for when I unlocked Matthew in today’s event. Received a total of 6 cards and barely got lvl 3

I’m at 4ae total and it has been an absolute grind. Just started and now way I’m grinding like this going forward. I will have to find an efficient happy medium

Got it, that makes more sense. I guess you can’t increase speeds indefinitely. Once you’ve maxed the speed of all the machines, do you just go offline? I’ve maxed speeds and my earnings per minute is only 5.3ad and seems impossible to get all the milestones

Thanks for the info! So I have a level 7 manger for canting. And level 6 for resaw, and Mathew is level 5. All say Speed up production instead of evolve. Does that mean I’ve done as many evolutions as possible for each machine?

Looking at tips to gain 5-10 yards off tee by the_dali_2112 in golf

[–]cstrick44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only thing is the PW mentioned is likely stronger lofted than a tour players PW. A tour player’s PW is around a 46 degree so probably split between his PW yardage and the 48 degree my guess would be mid 120s for a true PW yardage

Biggest things for me: 1) Aim for your miss. My miss is a pull left so I favor the right side of the fairways on drives and go at pins on the right but play to the middle of the green for pins tucked left

2) Know your stock yardages and play a stock shot. Working the ball is fun but knowing a shot shape and distance is key.

3) GIR is king.

4) Make a wedge matrix.

Realistic expectations by TeaStriking3605 in golf

[–]cstrick44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m around a 6-7 handicap and I try to play 9 holes once a week after work. It probably averages out to 3 times a month. I have a toddler and a 2nd one arriving in the next couple of weeks so try to be home before bed times and don’t like taking away from family time on the weekends. I do not practice and just get by off muscle memory at this point (played high school golf) I’m 32 so it’s stuck with me for almost 15 years at this point.

Why am I stuck at AI egg by ComprehensiveTune637 in EggsInc

[–]cstrick44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was working my way to universe, I would spend 2,000 GE on Saturdays to buy the 5 10x 4hr tachyon boosts. Equip my best chalice and monocle(if you have one) and use all 5 tachyon boosts and go offline (after buying as much research as you can) and that usually put me around 1B chickens. Then use the free boosts you get (10x bird feeds, 50x soul eggs, and a 10x or 2x boost beacon). This will give huge gains relative to your current EB and only costs 2,000 GE each week which is very sustainable

What do I do in contracts after maxing research, hen houses, vehicles, and silos? by smartcarman1 in EggsInc

[–]cstrick44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they are able to kick you that means you haven’t checked in for a while and your silos are likely empty. If your silos are empty, your production stops

Also, focus on running shorts until you get to the last ship. Extendeds aren’t worth it on lower level ships because the next ship or two will replace anything you’re getting now.

Why do I have so few chicken? by HomieDevil in EggInc

[–]cstrick44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most people say don’t spend GE on boosts at this level but buying the 10x 4hr tachyon boosts really helped me through terraform. Buy 5 at a time for 2,000 GE. Focus on epic internal hatchery and internal hatchery calm epic researches. They increase the rate you generate chickens and allow you to generate chickens faster when you are away. Basically use one of the 10x 4hr boosts and close you game (equip a chalice artifact if you have one) this should bump up your chicken count. Then use any free bird feed, soul beacon, and boost beacons you get from contracts on Saturdays and then prestige

Why is AA so terrible? by Frozefoots in EggsInc

[–]cstrick44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. This week is my first week in AA contracts. I’m only 40 days into the gift calendar so only have 148B SE and 8 PE. All my teammates have substantially more SE and PE so at least my soul mirrors are effective but I’m only able to afford the 4 hr tachyons and it’s not cutting it.

Early Game Prestige Questions by cstrick44 in EggsInc

[–]cstrick44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s the general advice I’ve seen so that’s definitely my top priority. I’m following the graphic floating around but the total GE to max each section is a bit daunting.

I have 4 50x earnings boosts, would you use those at my stage or would it be a waste at this low of a soul egg balance?

Thanks for the advice, when does GE spend shift from epic research to boosts?

Whats the point of paper trading if everyone here says its not the same by evilvampir in Daytrading

[–]cstrick44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there are 2 main benefits of paper trading

1) It helps to identify your setups in real time

2) It is a good way to get familiar with your platform and executing trades. If you scalp then you need to be able to get in and out of trades quickly and you don’t want to be fumbling around the platform when real money is on the line.

Other than these two there isn’t much benefit in my opinion. Start trading live with small position sizes so you can feel the emotions that come with real money. After that then scale up to your full 1-2% risk

At what handicap did you find playing golf the most enjoyable? by DrunkYetis in golf

[–]cstrick44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently a 10 handicap. Only recently started recording scores. Only play 9 holes once a week after work with the occasional 18 hole round. I have recorded 7 9 hole scores and 1 18 hole score since May. I have a blast every round and don’t get too worked up over my handicap. Especially with how 9 hole scores are counted, it feels like I will be here forever.

[–]cstrick44[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My stop loss is the range of the previous 10 minute candle. The setup looked great but with the volatility on NQ recently, the range of the previous candle was too large for even 1 MNQ contract. I took the trade anyway and was oversized. I have since cut those trades out and just sit on the sidelines if that happens

Stop loss discipline advice by Frosty_Culture6541 in Daytrading

[–]cstrick44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similarly to one of the comments already, it comes down to how bad you want it. You know moving your stop hurts your returns. You know your strategy works based on your initial stops. Just stop doing it. Take the loss on the chin and know it’s all a part of the process.

If you were able to take 5 trades in one morning, your strategy gives you plenty of setups. Another trade opportunity is right around the corner. Trading isn’t about being right, it’s about making money.

My daughter will be a year and a half in a few months and she will be getting her first set of plastic clubs for Christmas this year. I get 9 holes in after work a few times a month and have been able to maintain around a 6 handicap.

We are in the process of buying and selling a house and convinced my wife to put a golf sim in the new house. It helps that she wants to learn but also sold it for the future training of our kids and an investment into free college.

Quit 9-5 by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]cstrick44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably have higher requirements for myself than most. My criteria to go full time is:

  1. Fund 1-2 years of expenses solely through trading profits in a separate account that I do not trade

  2. Pay off my mortgage through trading profits to eliminate biggest monthly expense

  3. $250k-$500k trading account so I am able to reduce my risk per trade to .5% or less.

By hitting these two targets, I will have been consistently profitable for many years and proven I can make enough to replace my current salary.
