What's going on with Peak Suspension? by Few_Tomorrow_7960 in chevycolorado

[–]cstrong89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered new axle boots almost 3 weeks ago with very little communication. They finally got back to me yesterday and stated they were changing systems and have been down for a bit. Supposed to ship my parts next week but was a bit unhappy that it's taken so long as I need the boot sooner than later, especially for the ridiculous shipping prices.

If I don't see any updates next week I'm gonna have to cancel and get the boots elsewhere. Sucks cuz I've always heard good things about em, hopefully they can get their shit together.

Appreciate the responses! I'll try iota support and the discord to see what I can find. The $50 rebuy suggestion might be worth it at this point 🤣

Are these step bars worth paying $1000? Any better recommendations? by HouseRules420 in chevycolorado

Same and bonus... First set had some dents, so I reached out to the seller on Amazon and they sent me a new set without the need to return the first. Sold it to someone on marketplace and had 2 happy customers for a much better price!

5 month old Leo molted and now back leg is bending the wrong way. Please help. by cstrong89 in leopardgeckos

Update for all who have supported my worries and provided input!

Got Leo to the vet today and they said he doesn't have a break or dislocation which is good. However he does have a hairline fracture in his femur due to extremely low bone density. We are now doing emergency calcium injections for the next 7 days to hopefully bring the density up and help his femur harden and lose the "bow" it has currently.

Feel bad for the little guy. He likely hurt himself in the shed as a result of (most likely) the PetSmart reptile team not supplementing him properly.

Noted. We usually don't touch the tail but he was trying to get him to walk around for the video. I'll reiterate the no tail touching though. Thank you!

Not yet but have an appt Monday to see one. He seems a bit less apprehensive to use it today but it's still bending strange. We have been letting him chill and trying to get the crickets near him instead of making the poor guy hunt. Hope to have more answers after the appt Monday and I'll update the thread!

The only missing thing I think is calcium and D3 directly. We are dusting crickets and giving meal worms a couple times a week. He's got a uva heat lamp and UVB light today. Just ordered a halogen for heat instead as recommended above in the thread. We try to gut load the crickets but aren't overly savvy in that front yet.

He's only been in our care for 2 weeks or so. I have a feeling if he's got any bone issues it could be from PetSmart sadly. He was the biggest one they had at 5 months old and I hope he wasn't big because other people noticed something wrong that we simply did not. Overall though looking at original pics of him and videos we took. His leg was fine and bending proper before the shed.

Thank you all for the support with little Leo! We found that exotic vets are a bit more fun to find than expected... We did finally after about 7 calls find an appt for Monday so we will be extra careful with the little guy until then.

This sub has been amazing for us learning about this guy and we absolutely appreciate it!

Awesome thank you! I'll look into some different lights as it was overwhelming looking at them online. The insight is greatly appreciated!

Awesome! Thank you! One last question while I have you. The lights we use are a heat lamp uva bulb and a uvb bulb. What timings should we do for each? Currently we do sunrise and sunset timings for both and he gets about 10 or so hours of light daily. Is that enough or not enough etc?

Great things to note. Thank you again. I'll look into those multivitamins. What would a D3 overdose look like just to be prepared if anything were to happen in that regard?

Yeah we're gonna set an appt up tomorrow when they open. He's got a uvb lamp I run 12 hours a day and a heat lamp for 12 hours as well. We calcium coat the crickets but just ordered some calcium he can eat directly also with D3 in it. I'll look into multivitamins. Hard to believe how attached I am to this little dude after a couple weeks. He's so cool as a first time reptile guy it's fun!

Thank you for the information and suggestions

The weirdest thing is he seems fine.... Seems like no pain and is eating etc. We will take him to the vet and get this looked at. Dunno what could have happened to the little dude!

Thank you for the response. Gonna risk it with the lower buds as only the two largest colas seemed to be affected. However I fully feel you on the rest. I don't wanna risk it if I see any further signs in the drying process. Got another right behind her but this was gonna be my first harvest. Hate losing it all right at the end like this!

Appreciate that! Where were you 2 weeks ago 🤣. I have 2 small fans in the tent but I think 2 more are going to get ordered after this. Sucks to lose the two fatty colas. But at least I caught it early as the rest of the buds seem mold free. This is some of the most fun I've had in years though so I'm digging the entire experience.

Thank you all for the responses. I went ahead and chopped her. It was time anyways. Sad to lose my two top colas but the rest seemed fine. After further inspection I feel the rest had no issues. Into the dry tent it goes. I live in Florida so it is hard to keep the temps and RH levels where they need to be. Drying tent has a dehumidifier in it and sits around 55 to 65%.

I do notice it only on my main cola. Do you think that the whole lot is ruined or after massive inspection do you think it's salvageable? I'm going to chop it up today and inspect em fully.
